you just need to cut holes on your strut tower so the upper arm can poke through to go lower in the front.

if you do cut a hole you technically should seal it by fabricating a box or something like some of the other members have done. You wouldn't want dust/rocks/water etc getting in your engine bay....especially if its raining.

Instead of dumped pics could you give us some pics of how high the cups can go. From my understanding normal ride height is fully dumped and its only supposed to be raised to clear obstacles.

Well the rear is 0 finger gap and the front is 3 finger gap which I hate !! It's tucked in the rear b/c coils are set low and for some reason the Installer said there is something missing or it was assembled wrong from af bc it should be lower in the front!

One thing I'm hating is I had 0 gap all the way aru d with some tire tuckin with my megans and never had problems At drive way getting in or out!! Today I 3 wheeled at my brothers driveway (never happened with megans and I was lower with those) and even minor drive ways gettin in an out I can't get in or out without a Fuckng tire hitting a damn fender today it's been like that all day! This never happened with my megans! Anyone in Houston care to help with my problem ?? And thanks for the comments !

im sure it would be easier for you if you just set your coils at a height you could ride / park at, then air up your cups for getting out of the way of stuff in the road or steep inclines...im more than confident that will solve your problems...personally id rather sit flush(ish) than tuck at a park / ride. but i dont think the same as some of yall air guys lol.

I agree raising the coil will perhaps solve the problem for the rear! But the front like I said has a 3 finger gap and that's with the coil all the way down while being aired up. That is why Dan think af forgot something in the kit or assembled it wrong bc that front sits way to high for the coil to be bottomed out like that :( so If I raise the front more my car will sit higher then 3 finger gap when air up.

I want these coils to be set at the height I had my megans at , at normail drive speeds with no rubbing anywhere or problems getting in and out. Whichwas 0 gap all way round with some tire tucking. Currently when aired up, the rear sits the same as my megans did with ass loads of rubbing for some reason and the front just looks like a monster truck which is annoying. Damnit I'm in reversed raked stance aired up!! I'm not a vato :gonk:

anyways if someone some other solution holla!

it's a spacer between your steering hub and the lower ball joint, which effectively pushes your steering hub (banana arm) and upper control arm up. This will cause the ride height to be lower by the amount of spacer you add. Not only this is a way to get lower, but to effectively raise the roll center high than before, which also improves handling on a car that is excessively lowered.

thanks for the info..now that is just for the front correct? i still need to fix the rubbing issue in the rear once im aired all the way up. Shit rubs on the smallest driveways getting in and out

i completely understand what nick suggested and the purpose of these cups. Keep in mind i did not set these coils. DAn did and i thnk he tried to run my like narmeens IS250. lets just say i do what nick suggests to all 4 corners well the front will still be higher then that back. i just thought when the coils were bottomed out it should give the same height all the way around. But it doesnt look like it does.o welll

Dan tried to set these up where i have to drive with them aired up which is not the correct way to ride on them im sure. Some how he made narmeens like that and she HAS to ride aired up or else she will not be able to drive at all. im just trying to see if dans way can work but it doesnt look like its going to with my set up.

o well i will try to find a way to fux with the coils later this week

those cups are pretty weak, they are not meant to be driven aired up. They are there to get over obstacles like speed bumps, steep driveways, etc... Proper way is to have the coils set with bags deflated to your ride height, then use the cups to get up and over things. I wouldnt be surprised if Narmeen's cups blew before the end of this year. She daily drives it, right?

also like the guys said , Have the car lowered all the way down to preferred drive height , then the Height option is only for getting over things . cant drive like that

$$$$ for the options you get but can ride low !

no offence but wtf is with your guy setting up cars with cup kits as if its full on air bag kit? or at least you need to specify its a daily and needs a certain amount of clearance/steering room at ride height!

i agree on attempting to keep the front about at the height it is and then the rear raised a bit.

the installer was trying to do this with my car, He installed this one with the same kit. I dont know who told him it was ok to do that so just give me a break. i knew what the purpose of these were and i was just wondering to myself why was he trying to do this. yea i did. but i got to get the front sleeved measured by the person who installed the suspension so he can send that to AF and see if the wrong parts were really sent. but other then that im rolling with cups deflated and set to driving height and im quite low in the front. And i need to get the camber set on the passenger side to get rid of the rubbing when i go up driveways if i dont inflated the cups. But other then that the cups work excellent :) just a questions for people with coilovers if you set your damper stiff is it normal for things to start raddling a lilttle bit inside the car? O i still need to get my front fenders rolled to keep the tires from hitting the fender when i turn!
so im curious. did you ever get the suspension to the height you wanted to daily it in?
yea i did. but i got to get the front sleeved measured by the person who installed the suspension so he can send that to AF and see if the wrong parts were really sent. but other then that im rolling with cups deflated and set to driving height and im quite low in the front.

Listen. Cup kits like these and Roberutas are nothing new. They are installed as "standard" option on much more expensive cars like Enzos back in the day. The point of this cup kit is to ride low to lower the center of your car gravity while being able to raise the front nose of your car at steep inclines and speed bumps to pass it. It's not meant to be driven like full-blown air suspension kit because air sus is mostly for shows where the cars are sitting on their chassis for the VIP look or whatnot. The airsus guys don't normally drive around at that height, the pansies even go as high as stock on normal daily driving.

Basically, to reiterate, think of cupkits as your normal coilover setup with the ability to lift the car a little bit to go over obstacles like inclines or bumps. So don't expect it to go 5" up or down in any direction, it just won't....
