JIC coilovers for my F50
Hey guys whats up, Looking for a little help. I have an F50 and I know a lot of you F50 owners on here are running air or coils I was just curious if any of you have any experience with the JIC coils for our cars? I have a good deal lined up on a set of JIC FLT-FAS coilovers. I know JIC makes a good product for other applications I had a set for my old Maxima, but I was curious about them on a heavier rear wheel drive car. And the spring rates seem very low compared to other coilovers I've seen for the F50. They are 9kg in the front and 5 kg in the rear. Eventually I plan to add air either AirRunner if I can save up the cash, or UAS or an air cup set but I have a lot of research I have to do on all of the air options. Any input is greatly appreciated and will hopefully help me and others out I know there was another thread on this some time ago but I couldn't find it and I figgured it wouldnt hurt to start a new one. If a mod wants to move this thread thats fine, and I appologize for the trouble but I'm really looking for some info and help on this. Thanks and hopefully this thread will help more than just me.

I only have Junction Produce springs on my F50 but I will chime in.
I did some research into JIC and found nothing but bad reviews of poor quality and customer service. Most people here said their G50 or Y33 rides really stiff with JIC as well.
I remember "sessions" had some used ones for sale that likely came off his F50. Perhaps he can shed some light on them.

F50's are so hard to find stuff for. Took me over a year to find and decide on either the Insurance or Buddy Clubs. went with the BC's. I have also only heard negative things on the JIC's, one of thoes was that the drop was not low enough and the ride was not good. Unless you are buying them used the worst thing is the core charge!! You will notice the small text at the bottom of the JIC page for the coilovers...$500.00 core charge or you can send them your stock struts!! I dont know about you guys but I like to drive my car and I couldnt do that without a front suspension!! I would avoid the JIC's with the other options out there, but thats just my own opinion.
On another note the Buddy clubs have been very nice so far, I just changed the dampening on the fronts this weekend and the ride is low and smooth, corners 10 times better than the stock suspension did. I bought mine from Grant really fast shipping from Japan. He and marksport really helped out alot. Just let me know if i can be of any help.

I need todo something I been looking at civics and altimas riding lower then me and feeling hurt. why did nissan design their car to be able to drive over tall midgets without injuring them. I dont wanna be able to drive over a midgets littlest tow without having to avoid him completely. JK but thanks for the input and any more to come.

meh. jic on Q's just dont seem to work out. id stick with buddy club or insurance. oh and most companies charge a 500 core charge fyi. even the 3+ grand junction coils. i was gonna get coils+air but with the core charge included it would have cost 6 grand to get to my door with a digital controller and decent compressor/tank setup

Qfour5 see below

front
front strut still have 2+ inches and have not moved the whole perch yet almost all the way up so could probably go 2 more inches
will give you this
the back can easily go another 3+ before moving the threads down. Grant got me these for around $2700. The bottom of the car measured to the bottom of the side skirt is 4.5 inches front and 5 inches back from the ground. I will be droping the front more soon...but just a little.

I like it and I think I might have to follow suit. How do they ride, comfortable enough? I know when a car is dropped you lose comfort, but in your mind how would you rate them? And thanks once again

Qshadow....any unusual tire wear in the rear?

Qfour5 - they ride great still playing with the dampening 15 way adjustment. Mine had the adjustable shocks to begin with so it was on sport most of the time anyway, ride is not stock but can be adjusted to pretty close to stock. So far I would rate the ride a 9 out of 10 but like I said still trying to find the right dampening. The cornering ability more than makes up for the stiffer ride though, very little body roll as well.
Blitz - the tires do wear more on the inside because of the camber in the back, but this is not unusual, just expected with a lowered ride with camber. My camber is only slight though not extreme.

^^^really, my Y33 camber wear was way more in the front than the back. you gotta get your toe adjusted.

Yep those JICs sold really fast. Looks like Buddy Clubs are the best bang for the buck!
I hate the front fender! It is really high.

I got the new flt-vip coils on my G50 and I think they are fine. JIC does not recommend lowering the perches but everyone I have talked to has had to lower the JIC perches just to get a decent drop so they are lame in that aspect. The spring rates are kinda weak also, but I guess they were going for keeping a little bit of the luxury ride.
I know JIC makes a "Japan roads only" super low version of the flt-vip coilovers that might be good but I don't know much about them.

KSport makes them but you would have to re-use the stock spindle set up. I have heard it's not the easiest thing, but they are somewhat inexpensive.

Ksport has an application for F50?? Do you weld the front to the stock spindle?
