Wheel adapters for bolt patterns?

Not sure if this is the correct section to put it in but my bolt patter is 5x100 and most wheels are 5x114.3, would you guys do wheel adapters or try to fill them and redrill them? I'm currently trying to see if I can do a 5x114.3 swap. 

Any past issues with the adapters any body has ran into? Safety issues? horro stories?

i think its would be safer to do an adapter.. does your wheels have a cover that covers up the lug nuts? you might be able to fill and redrill them and no one will ever know, but it might be costly... (?)

Yea adapters are the cheapest route. I just dnt want t get them and then the wheel go flying cause the adapter went loose. Don't have the wheels yet just checking out my options before I commit to something and buy.

adapters are pretty safe, safer than drill and welding the wheels.

i run adapters on the fronts for two months now.....
 
daily driver and I take it 80 to 100 mpw frequently....
 
so far soo good....I have dismounted wheels twice just to check torque and everything was fine.....so now I drive with real confidence...
 
for some strange reason I dont trust airguns so I torque everything manually.

Thanks gato. I'm the same about air guns. I will most likely have to get some cause I might get bbs or jlines to fit the 5x100.

I was asking since you had an experience with the seller an didn't want to get scammed. People do still get scammed left an right on eBay you know.  I don't have a problem searching like I have always done. Appreciate the help though.
