thanks everyone! and yea..for sure ill be doin it right and tight! and yes..first things first...regular maintenance..oil/tranny fluid/filters/plugs/etc...esp the windsheild! haha..need to get that replaced!

i dont want to say too much of what i plan to do..cuz plans change..and i kind of want to keep it as a surprise..as the surprise unwraps itself...now..time to clean her up! haha..wheres that darn vacuum?

Maintenance as your first modd........that is always a good start.  That way you know that you will be able to get most out of the Egg.

thanks! and yes..so first is that windshield which i will make an appt this week to get that replaced..then as for my drivers side mirror..that needs to be replaced because its hella shaky when i drive it..esp on the freeway. then for a simple clean fix/update..im going to take apart the wipers and repaint them black so they look nice and new..ill post pix as soon as i get those done..i just finished with a nice clean session on sunday with her..going to continue the cleaning this sunday with shampooing the carpet and seats.

question: i plan on changing the carpet to black..are there any aftermarket carpet makers for the egg? cuz i called the dealership and its about $1k for the whole carpet..and thats not even black..i would have to dye it from there..so im wondering if theres any company that makes them

oh..and one more thing..the lights on my speedo are starting to go out..esp over my gas..i can not see that thing at night! haha..does anyone have a tutorial on how to take that thing apart and change the lights to something brighter or just replace them period?

and just to make sure..theres no lights for the climate control right? its completely dark at night? or are mine burnt out? haha..the first time i drove at night i didnt know what the heck was what..so i had to turn on my overhead light..if theres no light there stock..then i know a nice simple mod that i plan on doing for that....

[COLOR=white]-replace the old rusted out rear hatch struts[/COLOR]
[COLOR=white]-relocated the cigarette lighter to the floor console[/COLOR]
[COLOR=white]-purchased drivers side mirror since old one was shaky when driving[/COLOR]
[COLOR=white]-"wood" mod to the glove box[/COLOR]
[COLOR=white]-purchased temporary rear bench while in the process of finding replacement captains chairs from 98-03 sienna[/COLOR]
[COLOR=white]-purchased 94-style wipers so i wont have the ugly 2 bar wipers..going to restore these soon..repaint and refresh them[/COLOR]
[COLOR=white]-looking for 94-97 replacement seats so i wont have the donut hole headrests[/COLOR]
[COLOR=white]-ordered jdm tail lights[/COLOR]
[COLOR=white]-cleaned the van extensively! toothbrush to all the fine corners and spots![/COLOR]
[COLOR=white]-did regular maintenance (oil change, air filter, GAS! =P)[/COLOR]

btw..does anyone know where i can order a jdm "passenger" side sun visor? the one im talking about is the one for the drivers side here in the states..but passengers for the other countries. reason im asking is because i want a visor with a mirror just like my passenger does

thanks! and yea..its from rvinyl..its actually pretty nice..it has the look and texture of wood..even "feels" like it since the grain is actually there..so its my lil faux wood

good stuff sounds like your project is starting to come together the wood mod to the glove copt is pretty cool.

Sounds like you are off to a good start.  At first I was thinking....wood covering the passenger side air bar......but then read that it was only Vinyl.  Nice classy looking modd.  How much did that "Vinyl" cost you?

thanks! later on i plan on making the whole dash black..so it wont be sticking out all [I]that[/I] much..as for the sheet..it was just a small sheet enough to cover that. i wanted to try it out first before i bought the bigger stuff..make sure it was nice looking and didnt look "cheap." and so far..im liking it..most people actually thought it was real..even up close and when they felt it..until i told them. for that sheet it was only like $6 + shipping
