My grandpa's got an old Dodge Caravan that i really want to clean up, slam, and put wheels on....could that be considered VIP at all? What about an 03 Galant?
How about just building the car and not worrying about what classification it will fall under? Build the car how YOU like and call it YOUR style.

Don't try with that van. Put a nice drop and some flush wheels with stretched tires on the galant and its a pretty clean ride. Well I have one and I wouldn't even call it vip style yet. But when I get it cleaned up with some nicer staggered wheels id maybe call it vip style. I got my fitment on point just need better wheels.

ive only seen one dodge van slamed with stagger rims....it didnt look to bad...but for all the money your gonna have to put into it...i'll sale it and put the only into a platform where its not as hard getting the parts....
i know they use dodge caravans in japan to make them look like transformers lol .. i forgot what that style is called... but you can try .....
haha i was just thinking about slamming my grandpa's minivan....yeah i would do that to my Galant but i want to make that fast...maybe when i'm in college i'll pick up a more conventional platform....

What gen Caravan? If its the Gen 3 (96-00) and want to go for a decent look, try Wald since all the chrysler vans are the same . [URL]http://www.wald.co.jp/parts_acce/carrange/daimler/voyger/voyger/voyger.html[/URL]# For the interior, if you want leather seating, take it from the Chrysler Town and Country (I believe its the LXi Trim). There's potential there, but not enough of a market as the Odyssey and Previa. So most of your stuff is going to be custom. For your suspension needs, get in contact with UAS- they might be able to do a custom setup for you. If not, last I knew, Eibach made some springs to lower it.

If those wheels fit with no modification then your doing it wrong. I have a fwd and Iam running 18x8.5 +10 in front and 9.5 +10 in the rear, so dont be scared to get sum aggressive wheels
damn! well i think i'll get these and if i'm not satisfied with the fitment i'll lower my car see how i like it and if necessary break out the spacers
thats pretty conservative. im runnin an 18x8 +15 on the front of my galant.
yeah thats conservative, i was running +35 on 19" and i ADDED SPACERS.=)
yeah i understand it's pretty conservative....but my parents won't let me modify my fenders or run spacers while i live at home......so in about one year i will roll the fenders and throw some spacers on!

Well i really want some wheels....(i'm running on steelies right now), and i found some bbs' for 700 with tires, and i think these would be great wheels for DD'ing or track, and then i'll buy some wheels for stuntin lol before i buy baller wheels i will go with some coil-overs, (the most important part IMO)
i'm going lower later this week! and hopefully work emotion cr kai's next week!

Like others have suggested to you already, my advice would be to leave things as they are, save money and build up the car you really want down the road. Your future self 10 years from now is reading this thread, screaming at the monitor for you to stop while you're ahead.. Can you hear him?? 7.5 +35s is terrible fitment on almost all vehicles, I hope you reconsider the sizing.. And platforms..
It sounds to me like maybe you should wait a little while before trying to build a VIP car. Feel free to put whatever size rims on whatever you want but building a real VIP car takes money, and at least a general understanding of the style and its influences. Hang out on the boards and soak up all the info you can. Get your money right and THEN give VIP a shot. I've been following VIP for years (long enough to own 4 platform cars) and only now have started building a VIP car because it hasn't been the right time. This style take finesse and a little bit of skill, you can't just spit on it and toss it down the hole.
