I'm baaaaaack (2009 S350 now lowered!)
I know I am the first one in Indonesia who has this. Thanks to Darwin over at SonicMS for the super fast service and delivery round the world and when I found problems installing the software on my laptop, he actually made a long distance call to me to make sure that I am taken care of. Now that's super!!
Anyway, I did all the install myself with the help of the DIY on the mymbonline.com forum. Even though the DIY is a little different due to the different version, but the basic principle is the same. It took me less than 1/2 hr to wire up everything. Most of the time was spent trying to figure out where the actual airmatic unit was since my car is a RHD. It was on the passenger side on the left. The rest of the time was spent figuring out how to unplug the harness. The wire swap itself was real easy and took less than 10 min. A real plug & play unit! Anyway on to the pictures:
Loading up the software the first time on my trusty Vaio....
Renntech original setting *yawn* can't even tell if the car was even lowered....
Trying a dumped setting (50mm drop all around)....Jigga woooot..... The renntech unit won't allow me to go any lower than 50mm because it will drop a bit more on highway speeds, but it's really low as it is.
My daily ride setting (40mm front and 35mm rear drop). Much better and "Jakarta friendly"!
Wheels are staggered 19" AMG type 3s. On comfort setting, I can't even tell the difference from stock. Car rides normal, even comfortable on the "C" setting on the airmatic. Very happy!

Damn i was expecting the 19s to look smaller on that car but they dont at all!
Now you need to work out how to jig the unit to let you dump it all the way. Screw the highway height :)

I can always add the adjustable links and it will make a total drop of around 3.5" which means the top of the wheels will touch the top of the inner fenders. Then it'd just be dumb....
I can always switch to bigger wheels like 21s to make it "look" dumped but that's another story altogether....

i'm unsure if this is for abc equipped cars only, but research and emails with renntech lead me to believe that if you have the breakout box controller module for their lowering system, you can deactivate or change how much it lowers at speed. thinking of getting it for an upcoming w220, that's why =P

You are absolutely right about being able to change the speed limit, but for some odd reason, on my v3 renntech module, the option is greyed out and stuck at 30mph. I am not too concerned as I will probably never go lower than what is shown on the picture right now anyway....
It looks perfect as is....at least until my Lorinser kit gets here..

Well if I do end up with the full Lorinser kit, then I might have to move up to 21" HREs with fat lips or if I do decide to only stay with 20" wheels, then it will have to be full-spoked no lip type (like Wald Mahora but not JDM).

something to consider..
although you automatically think 22s on a bog boy like that, I think a 20 and 21 steplip looks just right...
seen this 20x12.5:naughty:

LOL, but in my ripe ol' age, I now refuse to do any fender rolling whatsoever to destroy this fine fine car....
