Supra Brakes...Finally

Well I finally got around to getting everything I needed to get the front Supra brakes to work with my wheels!  Rebuilt and powder coated them silver to match the rears I had done awhile ago with all new Goodridge SS brake lines all around.

After all that time, it was definitely worth it!

i have had these of sooo long  but have not gotten the $$ to put them on.  looks great. how does it feel?

Should have gotten with the LS430 brakes.  Bigger pistons, much lighter too than the Supra brakes.  I had both setup on my old Aristo...

ls430 calipers are very nice for an oem bbk upgrade. theyre fairly cheap too - $260 for the front pair (without core swap) remanufactured at rockauto.com. the downside is a poor selection of pads/rotors. if one will be using the brakes for performance rather than just having a bbk for daily driving, supra tt is the better choice IMO.

Looks great!  I have about the same clearance w/ my Skyline calipers, you can barely squeeze a business card between the spokes and NISSAN letters lol.  Very nicely done and super clean looking.

Nice. How much did you pick them up for?

They are much better then stock and I haven't even had to use them hard yet so I'm sure they will bite when I need them too.

I didn't know the LS430 would bolt up. I know the LS400 brakes bolt up and are lighter then Supra's but they are both 4 piston and then it comes down to opinion.

Thanks man.  Yeh that's about how mine are, you can squeeze a business card in there and leave it be for people to come and pick it up, LOL.

the LS430 calipers (front AND/OR rear) will not bolt up to any aristo/GS, Soarer/SC, or etc....

the way they mount is completely different, the few people who have run them successfully use custom brackets.  To use these brackets, you must also have the calipers themselves machined/milled to produce a flat surface on the bottom inner edge to allow the bracket to seat properly.

night pager sells bracket kits, minus machining, for <$300 per axle.

Ya I had to make some custom brackets for my LS430 for the Aristo back in the day.  A race shop made them for me...

are the turbo supra brakes differant from the regular supra brakes?  I remember reading somewhere that the turbo ones come with 4 pot race?  Which ones are these?
