so guys i got this huge ass bubble in my rear tire

after i leave jtrans... everythings all good. No more vibrations smooth sailing.
then wed rolls around and my car feels like something is not right. I hear some sound from the rear tire like its off balanced or like the wheel is just rattling on the car because the lugs are loose. i check the rim tire and lugs on the outside all good right? WRONG this morning i take the rim off and it looks like THIS on the other side:. it look like that to a little more then a .25 if the tire all the way around :( what in the hell would cause this? i didnt hit no pot hole anywhere and i just do my normal driving from home to work since i got jtran to lloook at the car also i just bought that tire about a mont and half ago :(

some people say that is camber wear others say it might be hitting something. Hell i dont know. But there is a HUGE ass bubble in my tire.

Sidewall bubbles come from the plys that make the side wall up separating and allowing air to impregnate the rubber and expand it where it is weakest. So once it gets a hard hit from anything on the road it will start to separate .
I even had a set of dunlops separate on the tread surface .
Most cheap tires will do this , unfortunately most cheap tires are used for stretch on a vip car because of the soft sidewall.

Damn that sucks. Bubbling isn't just from stretching. I have the OEM 18's and OEM tires on my Y34 and look:

so 1st i discover a messed up tire on friday morning i didnt drive my car all day.FML

2nd the next day i go to the tire shop to mount some used 245/35/20 on the rear. they dismount both wheels from my car and turns out the other tire is bad as you can see from my 2nd pic FML

so i get them replaced and then go about my business. and i will just get me some new 255/30s mounted in a few weeks i say to myself. 3rd I wake this morning and wake up to this. the puncture is very unnoticable from the pic bc it is very smalll. just look closely you will see it!!

Got it worked on this past weekend. I got new tires 225/35/20 in the front and 255/35/20 in the rear. New 10mm spacers up front, complete fender shave all the way around and a complete height adjustment to where I'm flush with the cups deflated. Believe it or not I can drive at that height:) o yea I got new ball joint installed too!

Jtran in conroe is the shit!!! he really did a awesome job!!!

Tires bubbling up suck. I've learned the hard way on why it happens. In my case and in also others', is that the load ratings are too low for some cars when going to a smaller tire, especially Falken FK452's because they seem to run a size larger, you would have to go down a size just to get the same stretch as other tires, but risk the lower load rating. I bubbled up tires on the front of my Y33 Q45 using 215/35/19's, 225/35/19's, both FK452's. Once I changed to a Falken ST115 235/35/19 up front, never had a bubbling problem, but had the same stretch as a FK452 225/35/19. Overall, watch out for the load rating when choosing tires. Stretch is nice when needed, but not at the risk of a load rating of like 87 or something low on a heavy car.
