My new Ls400
Hey Guys,
I'm new here and i just got my 1st soon to be VIP car today so i wanted to post up some pics, show you what i got, ask a few questions, and get some advice. first things first i know you guy are dying to see the car so. . .
its a 94 with 114k miles on it and stock air suspension all around. What really sold me on the car was the black interior i LOVE the black on back. it was owned by an older couple that trades it on something newer at a dealer ship down the road from me. i picked it up for about 4,000 witch i thought wasn't a bad price.
does any1 have and suggestions for the 1st mods i need to be saving for to start the project?
so there is is just bought it today and its got a few kinks . . .
1st- the driver side seat refuses to lean back but only on the left side, the right side of the seat works fine but the left doesn't move at all, is this a common problem and what will it take to fix? Any one have any suggestions?
2nd- The speedo seems to only work some times it comes and goes . . . are these cars electronic speedos or cable driven?

nice buy. not a bad price for the condition its in. as far as your stock air suspension, hopefully there are no leaks and they are still good, you can add an air data controller which will trick your ecu to make the car go lower. Granted though with the amount of miles and the year of your car you should check your bags... if im not mistaken to replace one air strut is roughly $1,300. Thats why peeps usually opt to go with either an aftermarket air ride suspension, coilovers or a combination of both. Either which way its really up to you on what you want to do. This website has a lot of good informaiton so just browse around for ideas and answers. Im sure you will have a lot!! good luck with the build and start a build thread!!! peace.

thanks man! ill have to look more into all of that! . . . i do plan on starting a build thread as soon as i get some parts together and some mods on it, no1 wants to read a build thread that's just a stock car lol. thanks for the great advice and help.
any suggestions on what mod i should save for 1st?

Really depends on you and what you want. If your stock bags are good to go, I would definitley look into getting the data controller then start worrying about your wheels and offsets. Everyone seems to want the flush look, meaning the wheels will sit basically flush with your fenders when you dump your ride. Depending if you want to do body work and roll and pull your fenders you can get a much more aggressive offset which means more LIP!!! Again do your research because there are so many different wheels out there you'll probably go nucking futs on trying to figure out which one is best for you!!!
Thats what i would do... again who am i to judge.... good luck mang!!!
