How long is a piece of string?

This question is entirely subjective and one man's 'perfect' will be another's 'too far'. I do get the impression that people in the US are playing a game of one-up trying to be just that little bit wider than the last person and so on, and it just ends up with wheels that really dont look like they fit the car (especially since nobody is doing flares/widebody with them).

Having said that, for me ride height determines the quality of the stance. To me if your 'stance' is stopping you from going low then there is something wrong. Get flares, raise the fenders (radius) or just get smaller diameter/lower offset wheels.

Well looks like Dominik was referring to the look in my signature , And to each his own

The question is how far are you looking to be in the Vip scene,

Trying new things or sitting on a pair of wheels for over couple of years ,

for stance to me, seems the US thinks poke is flush when flush is flush,

Rimtuck.com will have alot of great examples see if that helps

If you're on air, your goal should be to lay the car on the ground. That is obviously harder to do without a kit but IMO, much more rewarding. People will complain about roads or driveways and it is understandable. This style is not for everyone. If you got the heart, you will find ways to make things happen

Bippu PxrLex, yes i admit i thought your car needed fender work (flares or widebody) to pull off those wheels properly. I am cool with broken axle camber (love it), but IMO the wheel should fit inside the guards on full drop; not limited by the fender like that

That was quite an extreme setup at the time. 7.5 degrees of camber or something like that?

I've run 6.5 for a long time and i can tell you, there will be many people trying to tell you something is wrong with your car :)
Though probably more people saying "daaaaamn"

just get air and adjust to whatever height you want.... make whatever rim/tire you have work. You might even get a set of rims thinking it will look flush but find out you could have gone more/less aggressive...trial and error.

What I recommend is just getting the rims you want and the size you want and make the car fit over those rims....meaning mod the fender or quarter to fit those rims.

coils i think poke and stretched
air i think it should tuck but be as flush as possible, like grants setups

IMO the perfect setup is poked on full down but u gotta be radiused for that and then it can look weird if u dont drive slammed
