HOLY CRAP...Schumi coming out of retirement!!

Yep, you read that correctly.  Michael Schumacher, 40 will be returning to Scuderia Ferrari F1 to replace Felipe Massa after his accident/injuries in the Hugarian GP.  This was sourced from CNN:

I remember one of the recent top gear where they tried to tell people that Michael was the Stig.

I thought nobody into VIP cares about racing?  I'm looking forward to see how he does, he was my hero for his entire F1 career since I got into it in '94.  It sucks that it's because of Massa's injuries, but at least it seems that the doctors are saying Massa didn't suffer any type of permanent damage and is well enough to fly home to Brazil next week.

edit: that CNN article is whack. For up to the minute, daily F1 coverage, [URL]http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/index.shtml[/URL]  is the only source I go to. It's a permanently open tab in my browser. There is no damage to Massa's left eye, he can see clearly out of it.  He sat up and took steps today as well.

Agreed, but the first few leaks of it I just couldn't believe till they made it public.  Haha, so you see why I posted what I did. F1-live is pretty good though, but there's a few other good sources as well.  I mostly just hit up team/driver websites personally.  I could care less to hear what Bernie has to say..that whack job.  With BMW Sauber F1 pulling out, I also wonder what's going to happen..who will buy them out??

I hope Peter Sauber can figure something out to keep the team. Ross Brawn has managed, there are plenty engine choices next year: Ferrari, Mercedes, Toyota and Cosworth. So he should be able to put something together I hope.  The infrastructure and car are there, just needs engines and sponsorship.

F1-live has been my favorite F1 site since formula1.com became the official F1 site about 10 years ago. Plus, F1-live has moto-live which I also check daily.

Well, Le Mans might be a fallback to the withdraw if trying to rescue the team fails, he already mentioned he doesn't want to go in a the sole team chief, 

While on the subject of the Le MANS; maybe Joan Villadelprat's Epsilon Euskadi may be involved considering he didn't get the FIA's approval to enter into the F1 series.

There was some article about Nelson Piquet Sr's interest in the Sauber Team too somewhere, because with Nelson Piquet Jr. quitting Renault who knows.

He didn't quit..he got the boot.  Just hasn't lived up to his potential really.

Yeah, he really hasn't shown the pace to deserve a seat, but who knows, maybe it's all Briatore's fault for favoring a world champion and not giving Piquet Jr. the same equipment to drive LOL. But I did see the same thing yesterday linking Piquet Sr. to a Sauber buy-out as well.  We'll see, it's a no brainer for someone who wants into F1 to buy an existing team.
