stumbled across this site from eurghetto.com seems pretty dope! i have a 99 si coupe with a "vip" feel i guess you could say. just dropping a hello! here's the most recent photo's. I've been redoing my quarter panels  among a few other things air soon hopefully. slowly updated but updates it will have!

Hi, there's a thread here that has VIP "[B][I][U]STYLED[/U][/I][/B]" civics (take a look at it through the search feature)... I think I can say some of us were quite surprised... Execution is key..... I'm struggling with a Honda build too... good luck and welcome....

the wheel spec are 16x7.5 +7 and 16x9.5 +17

That's some nice offsets

While it is a nice civic dropped on wheels. That's all it is. No feeling of VIP from it. I wouldn't worry so much about the "VIP feel" and Just build it how you like.

i concur, its just like every other civic, but with better width and offset. i'd say its more of a euro feel b/c thats what the v-dub guys do (except more extreme)

Definitely seeing the euro influence. Its exactly like what you see done on the golfs and polos etc. Having said that, its extremely nicely done and i like it alot.
 
Remember, flush and shiney wheels does not mean vip. The whole world has caught onto the flush wheel look now, not just vip, drift, euro etc...

thanks for the comments guys. your right its not anything VIP yet. my ultimate goal would have alot of euro/vip influence on the car since its something you dont see everyday on a civic.

i really hate to put it this way, but the words civic and vip probably should not be used together.  i mean..... the ka9 cant even make its mark and its honda's flagship.

interior parts consist of some f1 spec buckets i also have a blue suede personal with the common nrg quick release and hub. im thinking about getting a nice wood grain that i could swap in as well. as for the seats i plan on re doing most of my interior rewrapping the headliner rear seats will get rewrapped fronts i haven't decided what to do because the factory honda seats suck. i may go with a integra gsr and put them on lower rails and re do them in a nice fabric. alacantra <---sp?? with some suede im thinking thats it! woo!

yeah i know you said influenced ,but still.  its better to leave luxury style for luxury cars. please do not try to put curtains or any jp stuff on a civic.  take your influence mainly from stance and fitment and just make it clean and simple.

IMO, you do you bro. If its curtains or hood ornament or rear roof spoiler, doesnt matter. Show us what your vision is and ignore all the flak. May not be everyones flavor cuz we all got different tastebuds, but you do what you like and thats the whole point.

+1 million to that statement. Don't let anyone ever tell you wat to do to YOUR car. If they don't like it tough shit. They can move on. Who said VIP style is limited to luxury cars? Wat about all the VIP drift s13, 14, and 15's in japan. Look at the instant gentleman kits supermade makes for the s chassis. If you wanna do you civic (which is very clean) with curtains and wat not. I say do it as long as you are happy with the out come. Don't mind the haters and purist. Cuz no matter wat they will always be there. I get flak constantly cuz I still have the ka motor in my s13 and not the sr. I don't care sr's are played out in my mind but I don't hate on people who have them. That's their car and dream not mine. So like augg said you do you

wow, has this site changed. i came on here with my ka9 and never once did i try to pass it off as a vipcar or even vip styled in anyway. i just wanted to try something thats not so played but could still be viewed as a ''luxury car''. i got bashed on and quickly schooled to all the rules of the scene. since then i have decided it wasnt even worth it to share my build around a site with such strick guidelines, and lack of respect towards honda fans.
 i completely agree ,do what you want to your car. i promise you im not trying to hate on you. i was only giving my thoughts on the matter. i just figured since you like the style you would be better off trying it to a different car, rather than a two door civic. why waste your time. it really wont get much respect around here, and i feel more than anything it kinda ruins honda's image in the whole vip scene.   vipstyle should at least resemble something luxury imo.  but then again thats just all it is..... my opinion.

Hey bro, we all are in a constant state live and learn. These are merely babysteps imo. Who knows maybe one day ppl will begin to do more helping and less critiqing. :biggthumpup:

Ok guys, now just hear me out on this, I love the support for each other and respect for someone's build, I really do since it is a sign that our community is evolving to something more inviting than the elitist image we use to have, BUT we also must keep in mind that this is a 2 door civic we are talking about here. 
 
I love the way it sits and the fact that it's very euro-ish at the moment. Would I bother trying to make it luxury? NO.
 
Would I knock him for trying? NO.
 
Being a Senior member here, would I try and save him heartache by asking him to put the luxury/VIP efforts into a chassis that was more deserving? YES.
 
I am not by any means downgrading any of the positive things that have come out here, but what I want to make sure of, is the fact that we all understand that in the long run, it will still be just a civic TRYING to be luxury, and never acheiving it.

I own a 2003 Infinti G35 sedan that is VIPstyled but will never be true VIP. After $24k it is still a sport lux car just trying to be VIP. Am I happy with what I have? Hell yeah, but even I know the reality of the situation. Will I ever build a platform vehicle? we'll see..... ok of course I will but that will be once I'm done with this ride.
 
So to give some helpful advice to you, wafflelafaffel, finish your car however you want and forget about monikers or labels, and if you truly want a car that is, has, and will be regarded as VIP/VIPstyled..... then get a luxury car and go to town on it. Nice ride and WELCOME! :biggthumpup:

 as for being more helpful with less critiqing, thats what i was trying to do. never said anything relating to his actual car, but rather hinting to him to try it on another one. maybe i shouldnt have been so direct, forgive me . i see tons of riced out civics on the daily spending  more money than i have in my entire car. i just wish people would be willing to try something different for a change. the only civic that made me take a second look recently had a fully running tl type-s motor under the hood.
 wafflelafaffel weclome to the site.  so your a honda fan right?  have you priced used rl's in your area?  were i stay i see them so cheap its crazy. even if you find one with high miles you can get a jdm motor for it with 40-60k for a very low price. not a bad investment if your a honda fan and like the vipstyle.   in the end ..........do what you want , im just trying to help out a fellow honda man who seems to have a liking for a more upscale type of car buiding.
