whats the engine difference between the 2003 M45 and the 2006 M45? it so difficult to find parts for the 2003 M45 so easy to find parts for the 2006 M45. what the difference between the two?
The parts are not interchangable. I think the engines differences are Y50s vs our Y34s. These cars (2003- 2004 M's) were not in production long... maybe 18 months, so parts are rare. It's funny but the 06 has less 5 hp less than our 03-04 cars. What in the hell was Infiniti thinking:smiley-rofl: The only car mfg that went in reverse with HP rating on a newer design car and engine. The torque on the other hand is 7lbs more in the new M, but it was hardly felt when I drove it and hardly seen when I raced one. Before I put my 20's on I matched up against the 06 M45 from a dead stop off of a red lite and worked him by 1/4 length or so in a race that was less than 1/4 mile. It was over from jump! He blamed the stock 19's and his full tank of gas. Im unsure of the 0-60 time on 2006 M45, but................what difference does it make. So, stand tall in that 03-04 M and bow down to no 06 M's WHERE IS THE SOAP BOX GIF?
what I don't understand is the engines look pretty much the same, why wouldn't the intake off of a 06 m45 fit on our cars.
Might want to think about finding a supplier in Japan? The Y34 was sold a lot longer there than it was in North America. I can recommend a couple if you like.
Shaolin, no offense to you at all, but i think you should take your question over to nico or freshalloy. You would get a much better response on your questions and not waste your own time creating thread after thread regarding your y34. Not to be a dick, but thats exactly what i did prior to buying the car and a few months after i had bought it. I learnt a great deal over there. At the end of the day, what you do with you free time is really up to you :biggthumpup:

That is by far one of the most uneducated remarks I've heard. SAE revised what they define as hp in 2005... No disrespect, but.........:smiley-rofl: 340hp vs 335. The 03-04 M is hardly a 6.3 car. I can promise you that. I do admit that the newer M's handle better in the turns than our Y34s, so remind me not to race around corners against your M. Im not trying to start a dick swinging contest between the Y34 vs the 06M's. Its all good here. If it wasn't for the styling of that newer M...... I'd be all over it

Y34 definily run in high 5's. Its all depends on driver. I dunno where u get that number or source from. Y34 rated at 340hp and its definily has that HP to back it up not some inflated number that u were saying.
