Tire Stretch question for awd
I have a g35x awd. We have to run as close as we can for diameter for front and rear.
My question for you guys, is that if I ran a slightly bigger tire in the rear for example 245/35/20 and 255/35/20 and stretched the 255, will the diameter shrink down some. Its only .09% off, but part of me thinks it will still mess with the awd.
Thanks for you help

You know, i had a thought about this too. With the sidewalls at 45 degrees, the overall rolling diameter would shrink for sure. But since you dont know what angle the sidewalls will be at, it is impossible to know the effect on rolling diameter until you measure the wheel fitted with tyres

I was thinking of a 255 on a 10 or 10.5. I am sure you guys are going to say that is not a stretch, but I am kind of new at this and taking baby steps.

Well the thing is to stretch for clearance, not just for the sake of running a stretch.
If you havent gotten the wheels yet, you are probably safer running same sizes front and rear, with staggered offsets to give the appearance of wider rims at the rear.

AAAAANNNDDD knowing is half the Battle, I am not sure I would have thought of this immediately..... pretty simple, but def not a first thought....
