Been a bit since I've posted anything of relevance.  So, about a week after I dialed in my car (from the last photoshoot in April), a 80lb dead dog decides to mate with my front bumper while I'm traveling about 65mph down the highway.

Its by the grace of God that the car didn't end up on a flat bed.  This story will be for another post all together cause its worth telling.  

So for now, I'm going to show you how you turn[I][B] lemons into lemonade[/B]..[/I]..

NOTE:  For the purists, the bumper in my sig has been repaired and I'm sporting it now.  Think of the two bumpers as watches for cars.. can switch it up depending on my mood. =)

This is actually [B]free-handed[/B] in Sharpie pen... my girlfriend (very gifted artist) said she would give it a go.. [B]20 hours[/B] later, you have that.  Its LITERALLY a one-off piece of ART.  Ha.

Wow, that's pretty unique. Your gf did a detailed job on it. 

By itself it looks pretty cool... personally I don't think it flows well with the rest of the car as it is (solid blue). But it's better than no bumper or some random colored/mismatched stock bumper! The pictures you posted with the mural in the background are cool!

To answer a couple of questions:

1) This was a temporary bumper while the other one was getting fixed.  The originial is back on, but I can switch in and out like wheels now, so it keeps things fresh.

2) The reason why black was used instead of other colors to maybe tie it in better, is because the other colors would fade in the sun.  oriniginally it was blue, but had to go back over it in black. (NOTE: If your gonna do this, sand the bumper first, then apply the sharpie so you can get it clearcoated... I did not do this, bc I didnt think about it and cannot clear it now.. so it will fade in the sun and rain over time.)

3) The idea was taken from the Ft Laurderdale Lambo that you pictured.

4)  Worst case scenerio: I just picked up a great piece of art for the house!  =)

5) When the bumper is on, the car gets attention like none other.  Makes for a great advertising vehicle...

your old bumper, who fixed it? You DIY or took it to a shop?? I need to get mine repaired too..

I LOOVE and can apprieciate the work put into that bumper. i am gonna show my sister these pics and probably have her do something similar eventually

I dont sign on as often as I used to (I only come to check pm's and browse for a minute) but this thing is awesome.  I am almost positive if you would of done the entire car, along with the stance and fitment that you have, you would get featured in a Japanese vip magazine.  Great work

see this alot in the honda scene. but its very different too see it on a lexus, i think it looks unique i like i like :biggthumpup:

awesome work! get some cheap sideskirts and rear valance and have her slowly do all of them, then you have a full show piece for car meets and roll outs etc.  Props to your girl for the talents!

i like it! i did the gas tank on my bike in a similar fashion. its been like that since the first week i bought it in april of 2008. i have to touch it up every so often but i love it.. 
actually gonna do it to the lower portion on the two tone of the LS here soon too just havent devoted that much time to it yet.
