Quick Question on repairs for '00 gs3
When you change out bearings in the rear, do you have to install a new hub? I would understand if your bearings went so bad your rear froze, but this is not the case. Please chime in if you know -thanx!:biggthumpup:

you shouldnt have to replace the hub...atleast on classic...not much help for u i bet....has anyone done this repair...

Most wheel bearings are pressed in from the rear, gotta remove the snap ring first....

Thx for chiming in you guys! Apparently no-one here has done this kind of work before. In a few days i will have the answer to my question as i have no other alt but to take it to Lexus of Carlsbad. Being lower can and does put stresses on your components esp if your a daily. Even though the suspension parts installed are of quaility, stock parts are still a factor. I hope all of your bearings hold up cuz its damn expensive for such a small part....thx again Mista and Kidd! Others can feel free to jump in tho..

Hey Augg you dont half to replace the whole hub if only the wheel bearing went out, thats if you caught it on time. The only time you would half to replace the hub is when there is damage due to the wheel bearing cutting groves in the inner hub wall. Shoot man if you want to make the drive ill help u put them in! ive done these on many cars i got access to a press so thats no prob. We'll q it up that day man!
