what are wheel specs?

this looks like this could be the start of something beautiful!

How "custom" is the cups?  can you make some for a Y33?  Looks like this should be a thread to watch!

Yeah, I'm eager to see how they hold up as well.  But the construction is solid and it shouldn't have a problem.  The cup is a piston design similar to the Robuerta kit.  These have been over engineered for longevity with a total of 4 rubber O rings and a thermal grease bead, which will hopefully stand up since this is my DD...  :pat:
 
The wheels are Leon Hardiritt Beils 20x9 +14/20x10+14.
 
Burgy: The cup kits are still considered custom because they're not in full production and made to order but they're pretty much universal in the sense that the only part that is custom is the hole that needs to be milled exactly to the width of the suspension retaining bolt.  Plus we're using the same viaair compressor as the airrunner kit, however the tank is only about 12"x8"x2" big.
 
I'm gonna go by the shop later today, i'll ask what needs to be done.  What kinda susp are you running now?

Lucky you...  The original specs for the cups are milled for JIC springs and then adjusted, hence the 2nd pic (JIC springs on a Tein Strut).  We went this route because I wanted a softer spring rate, but for you it'll be a direct fit.

DAM....any idea on the cost though?

I can't quote any prices because my car was a little R&D project so i'm unsure what we will charge you, but I gurantee it's a lot cheaper than you think. PM me for details...
 
No full shots yet because the car is still in the works. Still putting on an exhuast (HKS Legamax), maybe a little camber in the rear, and overall just trying to get the stance to look right. It should all be done by this weekend.
 
So can any LA/SoCal folks point me to some meets? I know Nisei is goin on this weekend in Little Tokyo, but I hear theres all kinds of meets around town.

hawaii is always goood man...i knew those beils would look real hot on the fuga man i was so tempted to grab those wheels too=)=)=)...iam just so glad i can see how it actually on the fuga.

Did you have Work VS-XX's or some other mesh wheels before you got the Beils? Think I remember seeing you cruising down 6th street a few times in the past.

Naw thats actually another cat with an M in LA.  He's on VS-XXs and is sportin the whole Kenstyle Kit. (Sick ride...)
 
I used to be on Volk GT30s and been around the block for awhile, but this is my first attempt at VIP so we'll see how it works out.

I saw it when I was at Mega Matsuri but I was there for Nisei too.  Car looked good rollin.  Makes me wanna get crackin on mine.  Just waitin on the AF Mazora M to get parted out...lol

Sweet...  So do you roll to any meets?  Been looking to roll with some more VIP Fuga heads or VIP heads in general.  
 
Been to a couple Infiniti ones, but they're mostly G35s and they're mostly styled for the race look.

I just got my Infiniti like a month ago so haven't been to any meets or anything and I haven't done anything to the car yet.  But yeah, if there's M / Infiniti meets I'm down to roll.   Just let me know when they are.

Cups are ready to go!!! Some R&D might be required depending on the application, but JIC, Tein, Megan is known to fit... And the application has been tested on the Y33, Y34, Y50, F50, GS400, 430, LS400, 430.

Thanks, the color is actually stock Infiniti Umbria Grey, and check back to the first post in this thread, it details the car's air cup suspension.

 Hey dude I was looking into purcahsing the Jic Vp coilovers. I was wondering how the suspension is, stiff, hard, soft? Just wondering because these will be going on my only car and I do about 50 miles a day. Thanks Dude. Oh and the F50 posted below is sick!!! Mike I love my JIC VIP FLT coilovers have put about 15k miles on it and have it at the stiffest setting and it rides great and its a daily driver.

The cup kit is made by Platinum VIP... Shoot me a pM if you need/want more info.
 
I've actually been looking for a Fuga meet, but I went to a club lexus one recently and met some cool VIP heads there.  We'll see whats up and see if I can get one rolling...

The ride is roughly the same as it was on the Teins because i'm still using them for the strut, its just a little softer because I changed the coils to the JIC-VIP ones which i'm still getting used to.
 
So if you think about it, its still a full coilover setup, with an "air" washer between the top of the coil and the top mount...

The ride is pretty much the same all the way up to 100% full.  But...
 
Problem with me is that i'm on Teins which aren't really designed to go that low, so basically when the cups are completly full, its bouncy as hell because the coilovers are all the way compressed to go as low as possible.

nice car.. i think some nice chrome lugnuts would do those wheels justice..
tuner lugs dont look that good

that's what it is right there. Prolly a tire size or two smaller and your fitment up front will be golden.

agreed. stretched tires should make fitment spot on.

Brian, what size you running now?

Took some better pictures of the front all the way down to get a better idea of the fitment. But its still impossible to drive like this. 
 
I'm runnin' 225/35 in the front and thinking about going to a 30 series. I think its pretty stretched the way it is, but I should've just gone with a smaller series.  Thats my fault for trying to be comfortable! ahahhah

No secret here...  I'm not down with that whole offset secretiveness thing
 
Front: 20x9 et-6 (20mm Spacer) 225/35 R20
Rear: 20x10 et+14 235/35 R20

that is perfect stance/fittment to me.  I would drive it like that all the time.  Some higher spring rates & revalve might help.
