Most aerodynamic Jaguar ever. Jaguar is continuing its come back with the highly anticipated unveiling of the 2010 XJ. Chief designer Ian Callum redesigned the aging flagship model to coincide with the more modern designing of the well received XF model. Although the new XJ and XF models are related the XJ is closer to the 2007 CX-F concept car.

Luxury meets Technology. The new XJ's size is much larger than the XF with a wider upright grille, more conventional headlights, tapered vertical LED tail lamps and a panoramic moon roof that comes as a standard-fit on every model. The XJ's chassis features aluminum construction making the Big Cat light on it's feet and 300 pounds less than it's closes competitor. The interior is a infusion of modern technology, leather, wood grain and trim (including eight veneers, carbon fiber or piano black) as well as classic touches like the analog clock on the dash. Under the hood you will see the new 5.0-liter direct-injected motor as well as a supercharged version. Both have a substantial horsepower increases, with the supercharged model hitting 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds, eliminating the need for a XJR version.

The leaper says it all. The new XJ can be ordered in the US now and is slated for delivery early next year. Although the jury is still out to see if the driving experience is up to par for Jaguar Enthusiast. The Jaguar Marquee has caught up to its German counterparts in every way, keeping it's luxury and sporty heritage intact.

I seen it weeks ago and personally love the front.  The slicked back headlights with a straight vertical grill is becoming very popular with new luxury car makers.  The Quattroporte made it popular and now I am even seeing Bentley concept models following the trend.
 
I am not a huge fan of the rest of the car but the interior is very nice

I agree the front and interior does look very nice.  Not sure what the design team was thinking when it came to the rear.

It looks ok.  At least its not like all the japanese cars which are starting to look at the same to me.  They abandoned their vents fast.

I want a set of those AC vents.

its keeping up with the times but it definitely lost its jaguar luxurious presence. the vinyl dash,cheap speedo and gauges, blue lighting, and round steering wheel cover with an absence of wood really puts me off. as much as i like jaguars i cant imagine even thinking of buying this cat over an ls460 or s550.  this and the new 7 series are kinda losin' it. besides their 2 large high hp motors they dont have that much goin on. style and technological amenities are way more important than buttons that rise up from the console and a/c vents that move every time u turn on the car.

thank god they have the sense to keep the alternate color piping on the seats and carpet.

One thing I noticed is the black section on the "C" pillars. Do you think those are glass to eliminate blind spots or something?
