Hey guys, new to the forum and just wanted to see what you guys thought of my dusty y33. Now this is what it looked like when i first purchased it and got it to my house, I bought it down in pheonix and had it shipped here. The interior is a 7/10, driver door arm rest is really beaten up along with the insides of the front seats , also missing the DS sunvisor. The carpet and dash are in really good shape along with the other three door panels . Exterior is also a 7/10 seeing how there is a lot of bumper rash on the front and about 8 or 9 dings on the outside of the car. On a lighter note the engine seems to run strong but has some jolting problem at about 2-3k no matter what gear its in. Doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes.Believe it or not i paid 825.00 plus shipping to Portland for it. Has 200k on it though but I think its a pretty good deal. All it needed was a battery for it to run and drive, it needs a bit of work like any other 800 dollar car but its cosmetic as you can see in the pictures. I want to get all the oem stuff fixed first and have it in 100% working condition down to the paint. I am trying to figure out which way to go from here and where to start. Again thanks for letting me be apart of your forum and let me know your thoughts, constructive criticism always helps.

+1 on the maintainece. I had owned y33 Q45 for 5+ years and they really a reliable car if proper maintainece was perform. yes I agreed another Q was saved and those Q are become rare and rare over the year. Its so unknown to public and feel like almost driving and exotic car. Its just like my new car the Y34 Gloria M45 now. They are only sold during 03-04 model year. I beleive they were only sold around 7000 units. U certainly dont see it in every parking lot that kinda make u feel good sometime but sometime u feel lonely as well in the sametime.

Thanks everyone, i appreciate all the positive feedback, and your warm welcome. The idea was to not settle for anything other then black on black touring model. Ive been looking on and off for the past couple years and i believe my patience may of paid off here.
Well, unfortunately one of the worst parts of the car is the suspension/shocks. Just the shocks alone are so bouncy/blown that even a corner at less then 20 i will get wheel hop. So i called around for prices and found that the dealer seemed to be one of my only options to fix my struts. Then i started to read more about coilover options. I came to discover that you can utilize the s13 coilovers for the y33 (not bolt but will work). Now I have been a S chassis enthusiast for some time now owning over 40 S chassis alone. That being said i have a few s13s and "A TON" of parts for the S chassis laying around to make it work.
Thinking more, i decided if i have to replace a part, i might as well replace it with some kind of aftermarket/performance item. I had this nice 240sx i paid $694to my door for it. I decided to trade it to a friend for a set of these k sport airtek coilovers with remote for outside of vehicle control. Now there not air-runner but i basically paid 694 for them, which i believe is a fair deal seeing how the MSRP is 4800 (overpriced). Has anyone had experience with these air bags before?

Let us know how the K-Sports work. I mentioned to them to become a vendor here but they blew me off. (Last year at SEMA)
Also was this the one on Craigslist for like 1500 originally? I was thinking that is way too cheap and the car is probably beat to shit!

Also i got this from, a doctor who was trying to auction it off to fund his jaguar.

Congrats on the purchase. Looks like it needs some work, but for what you say you paid for it, it'll even out to what you should've paid. S13 rear coilovers will work with S14 rear upper mounts. The S13 front coilovers require almost all of the S13 front suspension parts. Definitely search the forums for the write-ups on that.

good price for sure!!! maintenance sucks, but if you got time on your hands and your mechanically inclined to fix whatever is wrong with the motor then thumbs up to you. once i popped that engine cover, i was like F this. i love my old Q, but i think toyota motors had less maintenance. IMO

NP, I did all maintenance on my car first and then I told myself it had to drive 4 months w/o a problem before I started modding. Than I did my first round of mods and now I am back to 150K maintenance this weekend. Flushed the tranny/differential/vacuum system/ changed the oil and checked all the belts and hoses. Next week it is brakes and then round 2 of modding....

Yeah i see, I need some maintenance for sure though. Timing, tranny flush, diff, oil, coolant, Front main seal is leaking. There is some mysterious stuttering from the drive train..... tranny..... maybe diff. I hear these diffs are not the best thing out there. I did however get those airtek coils just beacause my shocks are so blown, i figured i could go aftermarket there.
