I got the full S65 facelift treatment including the S65 mufflers.  Car is lowered on Renntech v3 ELM and 21" Wald Mahora.  Next I am just waiting for the new headlights, taillights and side mirrors to come, then I think I am done modding....right.

did you ever consider removing the s550 on the rear? no one would know if it's a s65 or not...

I gave you props on the other forum, butr I'll do it here again. Well done!!! Don't worry about the "debadge drama" from the other forum, go for it man. One of my up comming mods is going to be a total debadge - trunkstar and all.:biggthumpup:

It's a 350.

Yap, it's a S350.  It's funny how car culture can be so different from one country to another.  Over here, the S-class is offered only in 2 models: the super low base S300 (no vacuum doors, no TV, no fancy sound system, smaller wheels and about $50k cheaper) and then there's S350.  

Almost all S300 owners buy S350 wheels and change the badge on their trunk to S350 so people would think that they have bought the upper model.  Since there's no higher models on offer here like the S550 or the S600, much less the top of the line AMG models, then if I debadge my car it would be considered a blasphemy heheheh.....  Say I turn a ricer and put on S65 badges on my car, no one would believe me anyway, because that model just doesn't exist here.  So debadging an S350 here is really really pointless.  In fact, if I debadge it, people will think I own an S300 and trying to cover it up by debadging it and that's just ass-backward.

But you guys are right.  Debadging is just so much cleaner.  I am still on the fence on this.

Looks almost identical to my brother's 221...clean.

Not many cars can pull off those wheels.  They look nice on there.

I think these wheels are the only wheels that nicely "replicate" the AMG look very well.  In fact I already had my eyes on the Mahoras before I even got the car.  I knew I was going to get the right car for the wheels hahahaha....

One (rather unrelated) question. A few years back there was a guy here on VSC with a silver Alphard on 20" (or was it 22?) Wald wheels...Portofinos if I remember correctly. Was that you by any chance? The Alphard in the BG of your pics reminded me of it for some reason.

Yep that was me.  It was 19" Wald Portofino.  I've switched down to 18" Yokohama T-5 wheels now because with the kids and work, I really need to take the Alphard to a lot of say undesirable places and I destroyed the Portofino over the really bad roads.  

But thanks for remembering.  ;)

As for debadging, would one be considered crazy if they actually debadged their S65?

They would know.  My brakes are definitely not AMG.  I am also missing the almighty V12 badgings.  A peek into the interior also shows that it's not AMG.

The killer would be when I turn on the engine.  The whiny V6 would be a dead giveaway hahaha.....

Lastly, I am no poser.  I don't want to display something I am not.

Besides, S65s don't exist here.

Nope.  I think the maximum lowering limit removal was only for the GL series (maybe for the benz trucks only).  But mine's stuck at 50mm and won't go lower....

Aren't they?  The bumpers surely are great investment.  The taillights are bought from the US, just need to figure out how to get them here.

I heard the headlights are over $3k .... yikes.

Links turn the car's ride to shit.  I like the height as it is.  The rear tires are already tucking at max 50mm drop.

Everything is controllable via USB laptop.
