Yay or nah on these tail lights?

At first I HATED them cause I though they were  'wanna-be' 221 tail lights, but I am warming up to them. part of me says it matches te car and looks good, part of me says its no good. Ever since I found out that the lens is over the bars and its not bumpy or whatever i've been really digging them.

They are pretty classy and pretty clean.  Really clean.

I'd get the ones with the smoked inners so it didn't look so W221.

The LED ones that match the OEM ones are too OEM looking for me.  No way i'd get the all clear ones.  The slightly smoked OEM ones aren't enough.  The gray ones are awesome but not for this car. So it kinda leaves me at these.

The quality is good and it makes the car look newer without looking TOO new if that makes sense.

A Liberty VIP member has them.  They look nice

^ Is there pics of them somewhere?  It's hard to find undoctored photos of the tail lights on the car.  I looked over some liberty meet pics and didn't see anything.  Is that the same dude who pulled his fuse?

I'm shocked at the replies. I thought I would have to fight for this one. 

I'm thinking red/clear/red for a more OEM look.

Yeah my boy chopstar02 from liberty vip has them on his S500 and they look good.

Green grundel give me till tuesday & i'll get you pics of his car with them on his car....he did'nt pull his fuse but he did something with washers & the sensors he's dumped.

they look ok, jst not feelin the black strips. but its your car so if u like them then by all means go for it

Wow if I had a dodge magnum it'd look like that one in that pic.  I see what you are talking about with the ride height. I'll ask you about it later I really want to know how he did that.

Do you have pics of the rear so I can see the tails on the car?

That area gets painted to bodymatch color.

Wow I was [i]seriously[/i] on the fence with these. Honestly thought they would get a negative response.  I wasn't sure if they were tacky or not.  Some mods I do at the time look dope but when the dope wears off they don't look so dope.

I'm going to snag a 220 in December when the dealers are hurting for sales.

I'm going to go look at my 'winter beater' tomorrow and hopefully pic it up.  I'll post a build thread if I end up getting it.

I like those, and the fact that they are LED is a big plus.

Looks best on a black car; not sure I would like them so much on a gold or other colorful car.

There aren't any other options I like better for this car; since it isn't a current body style now, I'd say it's unlikely there will be tons of other options in the future.

W220 is a great used car buy. My next used car will be an '06 or '07 Quattroporte... :0
