Anybody ever use this? I just stumbled across it... lot cheaper than their fender roller, and looks like its a lot less annoying to use [url]http://www.eastwood.com/fender-finisher.html[/url]
Wow that thing is sweet! I have an Eastwood Fender Roller myself and it is a pain in the ass to use. With so many adjustments it is an art to get the right amount of pressure at all points on the fender.

I ended up rushing and fucking up my quarters on my last car because i rented it and was on a time crunch :pat: I think I'll buy this and try it out when i get my wheels and suspension, it's only 80 bucks compared to the gillion dollar roller. The only disadvantage I see with these is you cant pull the fenders, only roll them

I seen that. I don't see how you could roll the rears with that. It was quite a work out doing the rears on my Q. The fronts where soo easy. The video shows them doing the fronts. The description mentions about "lowering the front end"
Under application I read "Use to roll the inner sheet metal lip of the front fenders to gain more clearance when going to a larger size wheel/tire combo or lowering the vehicle." There is no way this would work for the rears.
That thing looks like weaksauce. It would be good to get fender dimples out maybe. Folding the lip back is ok till you start getting close then its shave time and its a lot harder to do and not dimple shit if you rolled that tab back. A eastwood fender roller is like two hundred and fifty freakin dollars it WELL worth the investment. At first I was like "why would I spend $250 on something i'm only going to use once?" but it doesn't work like that. You end up using it a lot more then you think. You can go to a place and have them roll your fenders but if you are trying to perfect your stance it is a process. Plus you can lend it out to your grateful friends or charge their friends to roller their fenders :P
i wouldnt trust it... looks like you clamp the lip flat little by little along he arch of the fender... when you do that little by little, you run the risk of making waves, or ripples... with a roller youre rolling the lip flat little by little. i just dont see how you can make it look clean with that thing... i would rather use a body hammer and a dolly to flatten the lip on a front fender. and it would be almost impossible to use that tool on the rear quarters... with front fenders, they are a single panel. rear quarters are at least 2 panels welded together. i personally would stick to the fender roller....
that looks dumb. all you can do is the same thing oyu can do with a hammer. roll the lip. i love my roller and will never go away from it
seen it looks decent but rather use a roller cause you get a even roll even light flare that looks like too much room for mistakes by uneven pressure and even if you squeeze to hard an end up pulling would ruin the fender.
Looks like a gimmick to me as well... in no way does the vid show the end product or even the beginning. If anyone picks it up let us know...thx for the vid bro.
I dunno if that would really work...it will require quite a bit of force even with a heated fender to press it and I don't think it would get it flat either. I'd say just spend the money on a fender roller, it's about twice the cost, but you can also get your money back out off it and make some by doing others' fenders.
itll work but you might as well save your money and get a set of robogrips with the plastic tips u can put on the end. after youre done you can use the tool for a billion other jobs. Yeah I was just going to say... that's pliers/vicegrips with rubber pads. You can make that shit your self for a tenth of the cost.

doubt that'll work on rears. rears are double walled. fender roller is still your best best. just takes patience and time. heat gun is your friend. shit. guys are willing to spend 4k+ on aero, 5k+ on wheels and tires, 3k+ on bags... 250 for a roller aint too bad. i use my buddies; but might pick up one for myself.
Looks like my tile cutter. Not worth it ,when compared to a roller.
