[LEFT][COLOR=white]Rodney is kind of new on this message forum so I'm going to tell you a story about this guy to give you an idea of the type of person he really is.[/COLOR][/LEFT]
 
 
 
[LEFT][COLOR=white]Around the same time last year, I am driving on the highway and then all of a sudden, I hit a dip and my car gets stuck on the road. I cracked a strut and my car was not mobile at all.:signdammit: For those that are not familiar with NYC highways, most don't have a shoulder lane. So I am here stuck on the road, creating hours of traffic because I just stopped 1 of 2 lanes. Rodney out of no where gives me a call to see what I was up to. I told him the situation but advised him not to come down due to the traffic I created. He goes against my request, takes the local route and reverses up the highway ramp (blinding everyone with his reverse light [COLOR=green][COLOR=white]HIDs[/COLOR][/COLOR]) just to get ahead of the traffic to make sure I was alright. My tow truck gets there and just tows me[COLOR=white] 1/8[/COLOR][/COLOR][COLOR=green][COLOR=white]Th[/COLOR][/COLOR][COLOR=white] of a mile just to get me off of the road because triple AAA does not cover certain highways. [/COLOR][/LEFT]
 
[LEFT][COLOR=white]Now we are off the highway and on a dark side street in a really bad neighborhood. Crackheads were roaming around looking for parts they could steal. Triple AAA was all out of flat bed tow trucks at the moment so there was a wait. I advised Rod that I would be alright but he refused to leave. We were waiting over 7 hours waiting for that second tow truck. We just watched [COLOR=green][COLOR=white]DVDs[/COLOR][/COLOR] in his car while waiting. I called about 10 times and they kept giving me the run around. The tow truck finally appeared at 3:30a.m. Not even my family members would have been out there with me. [/COLOR][COLOR=green][COLOR=white]That's[/COLOR][/COLOR][COLOR=white]just the kind of guy he is. [/COLOR][/LEFT]
 
 
 
[LEFT][COLOR=white]Now let me tell you guys about the magazine and the company. [/COLOR][/LEFT]
 
[LEFT][COLOR=white]RIX single handily saved the whole north east this car show season. Like the NBA on TNT, "40 games in 40 nights" They had a car show every single weekend. Without them, there would have only been 4-5 shows in a 8 state radius because many companies pulled out due to the economy. Rico, the owner, has been very enthusiastic about the whole [/COLOR][COLOR=green][COLOR=white]VIP[/COLOR][/COLOR][COLOR=white] scene. He recently picked up a project car LS400 which he looks to modify. The magazine typically features a few celebs, models and what ever is hot on the streets in the north east. [/COLOR][/LEFT]
 
 
 
[LEFT][COLOR=white][B]They asked me to write the article for [/B][COLOR=green][COLOR=white][B]Rodney's[/B][/COLOR][/COLOR][B] cover feature[/B]. With less then 24 hours to come up with 1000 words, all the pressure was on me. I was flattered to be given the oppertunity so in no way was I going to let my boy down. Who wants to misrepresent a friend? On top of that, I had the thought of your guys (the hardcore [/COLOR][COLOR=green][COLOR=white]enthusiasts[/COLOR][/COLOR][COLOR=white]) getting on my back if I screwed this thing up like past features have. I had to make the article "friendly" for the average reader in their demographic while being true to the scene. At the end, I can say that I am very proud of my work. Go pick up an issue and be the judge.[/COLOR][/LEFT]

Damn Agi... you told the story... :smiley-rofl: But you neglected to mention that that was the night/day that you converted me to VIP Styling like a Jehova's Witness on a Saturday morning... You also failed to mention that you spent $50 at the Kenedy Fried Chicken spot. If anyone knows that type of spot, you know how much food $50 gets you... :innoutrofl2:He had two shopping bags worth of food... 
 
I'm just glad that I found a style of modding that I really enjoyed trying to achieve. The road was bumpy at times, but I had the support I needed during the whole process to keep me on track. Agi did say it, if you do it right no matter the car, people will respect it.

Yesterday at the car show, Rodneys car was at the RIX booth and had a crowd around it at all times.  Very well deserved feature.
 
I finally got my hands on a copy of the RIX magazine.  The pics are very nice (taken by gsoup).  They also didn't edit one word from my article.  I was excitted about that.  Pick up a copy to help support 3 members on here.  Also I would appreciate any feedback good or bad that you guys have on the article.  Let the magazine know how you felt about it and how it compared to the other articles in there.  Hopefully it can get me some more work there or elseware.  Thanks -AGI

Agi did a great job at writing the article... it's a really good read... not just giving facts of the car but getting the details of the car while reading a very interesting story... it's like old skool propaganda... You're a very cleaver Agim Jones... :biggthumpup: 
 
Bippu PxrLex... Thanks man... Believe me it wasn't a fast build for me... it was many months of planning and research and then a Month of heavy building... Taking public transportation for a month in NYC felt like a lifetime, cause this is my only mode of transportation... For example, to get to work, if I drive it takes 10 minutes :dance: .. if I take public transportation it take a hour and 15 minutes... :pat:
