congrats on the purchase! she looks like a beauty! what part of NYC are you from? i'll be more than happy to share what i have learned. those offsets and sizing are very aggressive if you can make it work you will definitely need heavy body work. this i know. come to the next meet in ny and we can chat.

Oh snap!!!!! Welcome good man!

the RL is a great Underdog vip car!

Leon Hardiritts are gonna beat you in the head, but they're great looking wheels. There's a few suspension options. UAS is definitely one, but you can go with AirRunner or something else...

I've not dealt with the "importers" yet, but Autofashion and MemoryFab should be able to get you right.

Pay attention to some of the Offsets FirstGen GS300/Aristo guys use...you can get very close to their offsets if you roll your fenders well.

love the chassis, id choose this over a ls400 anyday. however, you needa realize that "vip" should be more than just, "hey who makes a kit for my car so that i can slap it on and call it a day?" good luck with the build tho, hope it comes out really clean!

Nice ride man, and if you want to do it right I suggest you take your time. Decide what it is you want to accomplish with your build and then map it out. Partition it to wjere you can do it in a nice comfortable manner to your wallet so you do it right the first time around, don't make the mistakes a lot of us made before which was to rush in to our wheel choices and kits and suspensions.... take your time, this isn't a race anymore.. hahahahaha good luck with the build, i'll be following closely!

It should all bolt up in the rear. You will need the Legend front forks and the RL upper mounts. I haven't found anyone that has used them on the RL yet so let me know how they ride. I am curious.

SPC makes bolt on camber kits. The rear kit will have to be modified if you plan to run a decent amount of camber though. I could only get 3 degrees out of it. It's more for correcting negative than going more negative.

That right there is a smart man!
:slap:I know you fellow RL guys do better homework than that huh? Man, Ingalls and SPC make camber kits for the RL. As far as I've heard...K-sports do work. I little more involved up front to get them to work but they will work. Also try Tein but you have to call them and get them to rate the springs higher for the heavier RL. And with ride quality..search for someone who has done them on a KA9. Your ride quality will also depend on what size shoes/width you plan on rockin' and the stretch on your rubbers.
18's-19's you can compensate with adjusting your tire series. 20's depends on how low you really wanna go. I honestly can't see K-sports getting real low and I'm almost 100% positive you will not have severe camber issues with them. IMO.....Go ahead and get the front and rear camber kit initially, it'll be a somewhat safety valve if you got the man-junk to ride low. I personally can ride eating damn there my entire top-half 35's but the roads here in La won't let me.
Its all on how "you" want your car to look man. Like someone earlier said, this ain't the tuner scene... this takes time to get exactly what you vision your car to look like. Have fun with it most of all and good luck with your build dude.

I tried the Ingalls setup and it was the complete wrong style. It was for the 5 link rear suspension which is not what we have. It was more similar to the Accord suspension than ours. I even called Ingalls only for them to tell me that they were sorry and the 5 link rear style was the only thing they offered. The SPC Kit is decent and allows for some modification if you want to use a decent amount of camber. I haven't had any issues with the front upper ball joints that SPC sells either, They do the trick. Apparently the rears use to have a plastic race for the ball joint and my first set had play in the ball joints from the race cracking but SPC promptly replaced them, no charge, and I am issue free so far.

Hey Ron, do you know of anyone using the Legend K Sports on the RL?

wait, you took out the Stock headunit? :pat: That's the sexiest part of the 04 man! That dash ONLY came in the 04s

Anyway, did you fool with the Navigation portion of the system in the trunk? I have to check my Service manual, but i think the Nav/Radio have to see each other for either to work. I'll double check.

I understand what happened here, he took out the radio. but left the navi in. then he cant start the navi. Your navi was disconnected, then it will ask for a code. you can get it from any dealer, just tell them the serial number. For some reason i believe everything must be in play (radio/nav) to work. Anyone care to chime in?

Did you part it out?

It ask for the code but the navi is not functional nothing works the buttons even trying to put a code in nothing response basiclly. Before me doing any aftermarket the orginal navi on the car started failing. I brought it to the dealer and they said the system is failing and were going to charge me 4 grand lmao so what I did was I bought a used system . So what I think it was if I cut a wrong wire but all we did was use the speakers wire from the car, power, accesory and that's basiclly it I think we didn't even touch thenavi wires

Absolutely correct guys. It has a internal function that has to read the that the radio is connected. The navi unit & (brain) in the trunk is not a operatable self sufficient unit. The code must be entered on the stock radio itself.
Sorry to hear you having troubles.....IMO I do agree that the dash/console in the
'04 is super sweet. Wish I had an '04....
Good Luck!

I would use the rf modulator style before I used the cassette style adapter. I am pretty sure that there is another option that connects behind the radio.

Ok, maybe I was wrong. Pac Audio has an interface but they say it will not work with the navigation radios. You may want to give them a call to see if they have any ideas though. Their products do the job for sure.

Yeah, it's almost has an exclusive feel to it. It's not a common car to modify at all and finding the parts you want to use is half of the fun honestly. It's not a car for one looking to have a lot of parts readily available. And the car still hasn't really been "done right" in the US yet. Atleast that I know of. No offense to anyone here. :)

Thats pretty aggresive on the offset, the biggest i have seen so far is 19x8.5+28 in the rear or a 19x9.5 +38. I am running 20x8.5+45 and the tuck I think +35 would be pushing it a lot.
