Ever just wanna sell your current car for something else

Im sure it crosses peoples minds, to perhaps sell your current project or get another one. But then reality hits that if we keep doing that well never finish anything!

I like my GS but i sure wouldnt mind getting a nice Q or LS. But after i get one theres always something else to "want"

I wanted an Oddyssey before my GS. I should have gotten it and put wood floors!

Re: Ever just wanna sell your current car for something else

I would mind getting into another project, but I don't regret getting a GS. I think I'm to a point where I can let my GS be the way it is and juump to a new project.

Point is, get something that you will be happy with before you start fixing it up.

Re: Ever just wanna sell your current car for something else

There have been many times where I was just fed up with my '86 Corolla and just wanted to sell it but it seems every time I get it back up and running it always pays off to keep it. I love the car so much but just like everyone else would, I get upset when something goes wrong lol.

I've been feeling this way about my former RL for a long time and that is why I have a Q now.

Re: Ever just wanna sell your current car for something else

The problem is that secondhand cars are getting so cheap now. Cars which i used to think were well out of my pricerange are suddenly smackbang in the middle of it.

Every time i have to get a new part for my car i wonder what it would be like to have either a) a new car, or b) a local car where parts are easily obtainable.

But then the looks, stares, questions, smiles and thumbs up from other people make me glad i have a car which nobody else has...

Re: Ever just wanna sell your current car for something else

I always want to sell my car when I run into a problem that makes it undriveable. But maintanance is always a part of a project car, so I get over it.

Re: Ever just wanna sell your current car for something else

Some may not like them as much as me, but I would like to have an F50 Q45, but I don't think I'll sell my Y33 for one, I wanna have both.

Re: Ever just wanna sell your current car for something else

I'm always wishing I could sell my car and buy something fun, or a project car, but I just can't scrap the practical just yet.

I am looking for a true project car now though, I'm thinking late eighties early nineties Camaro (non-Vip related project obviously), to work on in the body shop.

Re: Ever just wanna sell your current car for something else

I think that is a common problem with enthusiast is that we need to move on to something else even before the current one isnt done yet.

Re: Ever just wanna sell your current car for something else

I constantly felt this way with the RL.

I had my 91 legend coupe for over 10 years and I loved every minute of it. I never wanted to sell it and always had excitement when I approached the car.

the RL on the other hand was nice but it just didn't have any flavor. I was constantly trying to do something to it and didn't feel content.

that 91 legend coupe feeling is back with the q45 (unless of course maintenance work-costs start to creep up on me)

If I could even find one, maybe, but the T-Tops on the Camaro roxors my boxors. I also don't think I could handle a car as old as a 240Z, plus it's a bit too spartan for me. Definitely hot though.
