i current have an alpine iva-w505 + p1 combo

the p1 is a pile of crap. do not recommend. doesn't pull contacts from my iphone via bt, completely died on me once. good thing i bought it authorized. the routing is ok, but it doesn't support xm navtraffic or rds traffic. you might want to try alpine's new nav box instead of this.

the w505 is pretty good -- good deck to run if you want to add time alignment/eq with an h700/h701. the only problem is i think the ipod menus could have been better; it's hard to find that one track. pioneer's old z1, 2, 3 was better in this regard.

i've also had pioneer z2. most user friendly of the bunch BUT it's old and slow. screen is low resolution and i could never get bluetooth to be loud enough, which is why i sold it.

i also had kenwood's old dnx7100 and it was really, really difficult to use, but the garmin nav was nice, simple and direct.

Here is my kenwood dnx5120. There is a gap on top, because I did not have the trim piece installed in these picture. So far no problems. I bought a refurbished 80gb ipod video to use for the Q.

I am runing a Pioneer F90BT and I have no complaints with it. It fits perfectly and looks good. I don't have any pictures right now, I am redoing my system.

I had a pioneer avic d3 and had no problems with it. I like how they fit perfectly for the Y33's looks like it came stock, but I sold it because I'm waiting for Pioneers new double din coming out in mid october or november. I heard from my brother that works at best buy it's gonna be the best double din out there for the price.

Do you have the 2.0 version? 2.0 has a faster boot up.

i don't know if you'd really want that setup on your car -- when i was shopping for my y33 back in 2006, i saw a car that had the setup. it was slow, ugly, low-resolution, cd-based, and also controlled your a/c, so you couldn't just take the factory option nav out and put in a double-din. not worth it, imo.
