ur kiss the curb with ur rim? i just went thre the ATM and was paying attention and when i was pulling threw BAM scuffed the rim. my girl just looked at me and knew not to talk to me. it was a quiet ride home. :signdammit:

when i park on the curb i always park 3 feet away haha

Yes it ruins me for a few hours, then i'm like whatever, you drive it, it gets messed up...makes sense.

after I finished I realized it would have been easier to just agree.

my moms friend had just got her new ls460 i went for a ride and she went to the atm but instead of just tapping the curb she rode the side of the curb the whole way in and out that wheel was gone just looked like someone went to town with a circle grinder

i was drunk off my ass and a friend helped me move my Q from the curb to his driveway. well, there's now a 2" section of lip that's fuxx0red cause he didn't look carefully enough when he backed up. haha. too bad, lesson learned =P

I just avoid going to drive throughs all together.


but thats the price to pay for wanting to ride purrty though.

sux cause i was trying to be EXTRA carefull when i was pulling out. and i STILL hit it lol. next time im gonna pull infront of the ATM and make my girlfriend get out and get the money.

No mater how i hard i try to  avoid it, i do it every year. my driveway has a 3/4 inch curb going down the length of it. not a problem with most wheels but with stretched 30 series tires, it impossible nto to nick them unless you drive head- on over the curb all the time. I also hit a pothole this year at an weird angle with a rock in it and bent an curbed  whole side. CHARGE IT! 
i usually get my wheels refinished evry year

never go through drive ups, ( food, banks, ATMS etc.....)always get out of the car. This has kept my lips looking good for years.

it does suck.... ive only hit the curb once.. and it hurt.. and it was partially my fault for being impatient.  i was praying from the time i got out of the car unti i got around to the other side that i just tapped the tire.. but nope! all rim...:(

no big deal just buy new one. gotta change new wheels every year anyway.

I had everyone single one of my wheels curbed in NYC and I never hit a curb ever.  The roads will do that to you.  You can't have anything nice up here unless you dont drive with your wheels on which is gay

my rims look so f-ed looks like i hit everyone atm , gotta get these redone

last time i got a flat RIGHT BEFORE the damn train tracks and i had to go over them...man did i wanna cry when i took off the wheel it looked like it had tumors my rim wasnt even round anymore.

ive also (touch wood) never kerbed a rim, i dont do drive thru's either. freakin drive thru ATMs!? we dont have those in Australia, but drive thru bottle shops, takeaway joints, coffee joints, i just dont do them full stop. 
 
the day i got my wheels fitted up though i drove from the shop to the service station to pump up the pressures (cause i knew the tyre place would have put like 32psi in stretched tyres.. :/) and the pressure thing was dodgey, plus i had no shoes on and the ground was hot as fuck so i had to sort of rush and scratched both lips of the rear wheels.
 
then 2 days after that i drove through road construction and got all white limestone dirt all over the wheels. So rather than wash the whole wheels properly i thought i'll just use soapy water and a rag and give them a 'quick wipe down'. put tons of light scratches all over the inner lips again.
 
shit sucks, i've been lucky since those 2 incidents but they were within the first few days of owning my damn wheels! luckily when i clean them right up they're shiny enough you dont notice the scratches  :P haha

Suck i just did it also, First time i was so carefull then tryed to keep up with my buddies SS Trailblaizer cut a corner to fast and BAMMM i was like OOOO FFUU ********************. got out yeld at myself a little then realized it isnt and wasnt as bad as it could have been.

haha yea your lips are pretty terrible (missing chunks) but your fitment makes up for it :D

I get that feeling when my wheels hit my fender. I need stiffer spring rates so bad...either that or dial in more negative camber, or even pull the fender more...sucks though because if I pull the fenders more I have to do some door work, and if I dial in more negative camber, well....i'm at -7.5 already :/

^ yeah sounds like you need stiffer springs. 20k+ seems to be standard in japan for the flush guys who run low on coils..!

Lol. I notice the wheels actually tuck into the fender, but the part its scraping is inner part of the fender, u know, where it's rolled.
 
I'm gonna see if the stiffer spring rates solve the problem, and if not, I'll do more fender work. What sucks is the door is so close to the damn fender that too much of it will affect how the door closes :(

yeah true. i gotta get my fenders fixed asap im just scared of how much its gonna cost.

I'm guessing you need some bondo work or something and a repaint like me. Just a rough estimate, not sure how much bondo work will cost, but I don't think it should be more than $100, maybe stretch it out to $200 (figure I'm making up for labor)...and paint, I'm gonna say about 300-400 if they do the quarter panel, unless they can spot paint or something. So Prob around 500 give or take, doubt it's take though for quality work lol.

need to get the lip repair guy out to my house now....Damn my dumb ass for being in a hurry!  I hate when I'm late.

Eeek :( I got one of those. I pulled up to pay for parking and I thought I hit the curb. I asked the parking attendant and his face gave the answer away :signdammit:

when you curb your rims the after a night of drinking it doesnt effect you as much until the next day.. :pat: haha
