VIP noob in NoVA

Vehicle: '95 LS400 

I recently picked up my car about 3 weeks and i'm lovin it.  So far its still stock, but when i get a little more money i am going to get some JIC coilovers, celsior tailights and a front table.  I got in to the vipstyle by going to a local car meet and seeing this black Q45 on airbags and JP body kit etc.  I thought it was sick as shit, as i started reading up on it I realized that this is the kind of car i want.  And im here to get in as much as i can by getting advice and knowledge from everybody here.

Don't get me wrong i love lexus and i already have a great plan for it.  i agree that lexus is a great platform too.  I will try to get pics up after i wash it.  Also i hae a quick question, where is a good place to find legit celsior tailights and/or grill?

Welcome to the site homie! Org i'm a VA boy and am happy to see more guys are gettin into the scene. Although i live in ca now (10 yrs) and the scenes pretty much blown up here, i still see alot of potential risen up back home. You guys need to get something going, meets, shops, etc....Do work :)

Welcome to the forums man. Check out the vendors for LS400/Celsior parts. Was this JP Q45 local? I'm curious to owns it because I haven't seen many local vipcars. Get some pics up, I'm curious to how your LS looks.

I believe he is local, i see it occasionally at Tysons corner mall, but i think he got it repainted white.  I know almost never see Vip cars around here.  I'm gonna try to get some pictures up soon...hopefully by Tuesday or Wednesday.  I think the reason we don't see alot is because of the roads.

 I am running stock suspension now, but I will soon pick up the Jic Vip Coilovers. Stacking so funds right now:sad:

It seem like there is a growing number of VIP enthusist in the NoVa area. We should all get together next spring.

yeah, i was thinkin about the JIC VIP coilovers too, I was also thinking about the richmond based company Fortune Auto, but i have not heard much about the quality.  Im hoping vip will become bigger up in nova

 Yeah I hit up the guys at Fortune Auto already they don't make anything for the Y33:sad: I can't remember if the Ls was on there or not.

Welcome to VSC!!! I'm around Springfield, VA and its always good to see a new local around. I drive a 94 Q45 white with g35 wheels spaced to be flush and running Fortune Auto Coilovers and they ride awesome. They do make a set for your car so you should jump on the groupbuy they have on VADRIVEN.  Check out my treads, I should have some pics of the coilovers installed.

It still looks good. It needed a wash when I saw it. lol Same for me next spring I should be out of the shop and pretty much complete again. So whoever wants to step up and organize a meet let us know.

Fortune coilovers rides really good. And trust me you can go loww!!! I have 3 more inches lower to go on my car but then if i do that i cant drive it hahah.

damn you can go lower? that would look sick.  I'm trying to go pretty low, but still have a comfortable ride.  I was not sure what spring rate i should go for.

the spring rates for the fortune coilovers would be would be 20k Front/ 9k Rear on the LS. I wish I can ride lower but i dont want to risk my oil pan again. Maybe if i fab up a shield for it i might go lower.

oh ok, fortune cant do custom spring rates?  oh, foreal you broke your oil pan before?  Yeah, i was thinking if i go really low i would do the same thing, but i dont know where to get one fabricated at.

Fortune does custom spring rates but the standard rates from fortune are perfect for your car. Yea my oil pan had a hair line crack and I just JB Welded the first time and i hit it again and it cracked the fix and i JB Welded again so its leaks oil out the pan. It not bad but its not good cause I have to put in a quart every two weeks. Drew with the Silver Q45 from MD said he can fab up the oil pan and a shield. I just never had the money to get one made since I lost my job.

oh ok that sounds good.  damn, that must suck to have to keep buying more and more oil. oh, foreal he makes them? i think after i get coilovers i am going to invest in a new oild pan just in case. how much would he charge for that?
