infiniti J30...why did it miss the vip boat?

ive often been curious why the J30 has tbeen left out by the infiniti nissan crowd.  It downt resemble too many other cars form those years.  What went wrong?

Maybe it was that hideous rear end?? Cos that is seriously wrong....
 
 
That car (Leopard J Ferie) is very rare in Japan; obviously it didnt sell well next to the Cedrics/Glorias that Nissan also sold at the time (which looked infinitely better).
 
But really, modifying one of those would be such a punishing and painful exercise. YOu could spend a bunch of cash on it, only to be cut down because of the ass-end.

...I allways thought it was the Altima's higher upper

because the car is ugly.....real talk.

Now the cool thing is you can do the 300ZX TT motor swap and the car can move out!

I don't mind the rear end.   I actually kind of like those cars.  It's RWD.

rear end reminds me of a semi-round ass that saggs lol
 
 
I've seen a few done up. but still it was kinda of an ugly car.

The I also got left out. Just a rebadged Maxima though, so I guess I can see why...

J30's are just not cool.

i mean its really not, its not close to a maxima.  It does sort of resemble one in the front.  but from a mechanical point it aint.

i had a j30 for 2 years as a DD. bought it for 800$. best car iv ever owned. nothing ever broke on me. i took the car to these dirt road offroading canyon area around here and beat the shit out of it and it still didn't break. i stripped the car and went back and it still didn't break. so i sold it for $400.

ugly fucking car though.

its essentially an ugly rwd maxima with a sloping lincoln markVIII style rear.
could have been a g50/maxima bastard child too.

cant imagine that coming out nice without hacking it to death. end result could have been any rwd midsize car lol.

its butt ugly! but newer one is so much better, we have quiet a few around NZ now.

lmao.  The J30 is a hideous car though... I'm thankfull that it was made though because I'm gonna make a set of those projectors work in my camry...
