Sub/Amp wiring help
I suck at audio stuff. I need your guys' help wiring up my subs to my amp.
Subs: 2 JL 12w6 V2's. DVC 4 ohms.
Amp: Hifonics Brutus BXi1210D
I'm going to be wiring the subs together as per this diagram to get a final load of 1 ohm
Now, on the amp, there's 4 subwoofer terminals. My question is, in the subwoofer diagram above, it shows that in the end you'll have 1 Positive and 1 Negative lead after you wire up the subs together for 1 ohm, so do I use only 2 terminals on the amp (like in the picture with 1 subwoofer below)? Or do I use all 4?
Here's the layout of the Amp

Yup
Just use the two terminals on the amp like in the picture from the diagram and you should be where you want

Just out of curiosity, what gauge wiring are you running?

id recommend wiring the subs each to two ohms and then running them in "stereo" to the amp.. which would be the diagram on the bottom.
looks lke the amp should be able to handlthe two ohm load in "stereo" no problem. i put stereo in quotations because if its a sub amp you wont hear them in stereo because of internal circuitry but its easier to describe the way to wire them.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation!
@w8lifter21 - I'm going to use 4ga. power and ground to the amp. 0ga. ground straps for my battery to chassis and engine to chassis. 10ga. for the subs to box/to amp.
Too lazy to go under the car and look at the alternator wiring, but I'm eventually going to upgrade the power cable from the alternator to the car too. =)
I ended up selling the JL's and used the money to buy 2 12" Alpine Type R's and a Hifonics amp. Cant wait for the rest of my shit to come in so I can install everything

type Rs are nice. are they the dual 4 ohm or dual 2ohm subs? if the model number is 1242 then its dual 4 if its 1222 then its dual 2 ohm. that will help decide how to wire them up.
im currently buildin a false floor in my bosses golf for two of the 1222's off a mrp-m1000 i cant wait till he gets the rest of the parts so i can finish. they are nice subs.
definately show us some pics of how it turns out!
