New here and a story to tell.....

Hello there everyone!! I just want to say that I'm new on here and share a little somthing with you guys. I own a 91 mr2 turbo and a 2001 Mitsu. galant. I've always been into fast cars but I'm growing older and I just don't feel the need for speed that much anymore. So I thought about making my galant a VIP style car. So I searched for rims on craigslist and landed on a set of 20" Giovanna Barbados for dirt cheap from a guy who had it on his gs300. Then slapped some Pirelli tires on them and hooked my galant up with some new shoes. Didn't look as good on the car as what I would of expected. So I decided to look for a real VIP car and found a 94 GS300 on craigslist for only 600.00. REALLY??? I said to myself.... Called the guy up and looked at it today. Car is black with tan interior. Not really into the tan interior... So there's a few things to fix on the car, radiator is junk, motor runs but needs a new harmonic balancer and a little of surface rust here and there. Is it a good deal I said to myself...... Hm..... I'll take it!!! So now I bought me a 94 GS300 for 600.00. Looked on craigslist again and found me a 94 gs300 motor (2Jz) and tranny for only 500.00 so I'm thinking about picking that up also since the harmonic balancer is gonna cost me half of the motor. So what do you guys think about my story??? I know it's gonna take a little while to fix but was it worth it to go through all of this for what I'm getting???? I'm gald to have finally bought a VIP car and am with the family now!!!:biggthumpup:

Welcome and congratulations on the purchase. 1st gen GS is a clean ride. Black on tan is strait. I think the interior is a tan/brown two tone if my memory serves me correct....Enjoy.

how many miles/condition on the craigslist 2jz-ge motor?

Only 113k on the motor and tranny. I just got done looking at the motor and tranny from the parts car. Here's another amazing story to tell.... I just got back from looking at the motor and tranny from the parts car and wow, I got another deal. The motor and the tranny was still in the GS300 and he wanted 500.00 for it right. I looked at the motor and there was water in the spark plugs but all I really needed was just the harmonic balancer, so I was dealing with him. I told him that the motor doesn't seem promising since theres water in the spark plug valve. So he asked me how much I wanted to pay for the whole car, since I wanted some other interior parts too. I paused for 30 seconds and he said to me, " I'll give you the whole car for 300.00." In my head I was like, WHAT??? Did he say 300.00 for the whole car??? Then I said hell yeah, I'll take the whole car for 300.00 and I'll pick it up tomorrw!! Done deal, another GS300 for only 300.00, well whatever that's left of the car since half of the body was cut for some reason..... Wow, what a day!!! Am I a Lucky SOB or what!!!

I'd say the parts car was on a severe diet:giggity:  There some parts on it that can still be salvaged tho.

holy shit to the parts car!!!

lol... The parts car has been striped out. Motor, tranny, dash and other interior peices are all out of the car. All I have to do now is swap some parts over to the black gs300 and it'll be good to go..
