Little Rendering of my Next Project...Comments?

Originally, I wanted to do a 215 as my next car. The more I thought about it, it just wouldn't be a practical car for me. Detailing is an important extra source of revenue for me, and trying to fit all of my detailing supplies into the CL would be cumbersome.

That being said, I have decided that I would like to do a 211 wagon (E500 preferably). It allows me to easily throw all of my stuff in the trunk...and it remains a fairly untouched car. I'm thinking white/black or black/black. If I went with a black exterior, it would have to be MINT. 

Here is the proposed mod list:

- KW V3 coilovers
- Hydroholics hydraulic lift system (in development) This basically allows the car to ride 100% on the coilovers but have a 2.5" change in height adjustment via a switch inside the car.  The car will be parked with the coilovers cranked all the way down and then drive at a nice lowered height 
- 20" Leon Hardiritt Ordens...aggressive! 20 * 9.5 front and 20 * 11 rear
- E55 brakes
- Lip kit perhaps?
- Quad exhaust

Let me know your comments. Probably about a year away, but I'm excited about it!

That suspension system sounds interesting too. Is that going to be a juiced version of the air cup kit?

Similar system has been done on a mk3 jetta.  Looks like a nice way to go!! And E-Wagons make me smile!!  I have lusted for a e55 variant for many years!!

reminds me of a sig that "one ton vip" had a while back.

Basically, the coils will be cranked down all-the-way and that will be my "park" height. I then use the lift to give me an additional few inches and that will be my drive height.

What makes hydraulics cool in this scenario is that the car's suspension will be 100% coilover. Since hydraulic fluid does not compress, and I will not be running accumulators, the fluid has nowhere to go....thus the hydraulics have no effect on the car's ride or handling.

The performance of coilovers with the adjustability of hydraulics. The best of all worlds :biggthumpup:

Do you think 20s will be too aggressive? I'd like to see that negative camber that you've got on the rear done in real life haha.

Don't think they brought the 210 E55 wagon to the states... :dunno:

The slight little hiccup I will be facing is that all 211 wagons, regardless of model, come with air in the rear. My hope is that this can easily swapped for standard coils, and if there is a little fabrication necessary, so be it. 

I'm not too worried about fault codes, as I know someone with Star Diagnostics and they can simply remove the "airmatic" from the car's computer altogether.

I think you're right. I've seen some Euro ones on the benz forums so I'm probably mistaken. 
 
I know there are AMG 211 wagons in the US though. There was a sweet used E63 Wagon at a local Lexus dealer for a while.

That is a completely custom setup. What I am doing is designing a hydraulic cup which threads on to a coilover sleeve. 100% bolt-on.

so basically a sleeve over the coil sleeve, with a double o-ring sealed cup (on each end, so 4 seals), and a spring mount at the top for a shorter coil?

Kinda...have it sketched out. I'm not in town this weekend, when I get back I will draw up the schematics for you :biggthumpup:

Won't require a shorter coil though (I don't think...if it gets low enough for my fancy)

Cool! I've always wanted to build an E-Class w211 but I'm afraid of German cars. The reason why I have money for mods is because nothing breaks on my Lexus. :P

nope, that's a custom setup designed and fabbed by my guy anthony.

right on... another wagon lover... an E-class would be out of my money range, i was looking for a E39 5-series wagon for my girlfriend to replace her B5 A4 avant, but i ended up getting her an 8P A3... my brothers got a B5 passat wagon sitting on carlssons.

What company did you go thru ordering bags? Direct bolt on?

i hate to threadjack, but i love lowered wagons too :D .  here's my passat on air (rear now sits 3" lower)

Well, it's hydraulics. It uses oil through a cylinder and not "bags."

It's as bolt-in as you'll get for our cars...
