GripVideo, where did they go?

Do any of you guys remember the GripVideo DVD's? I own vol 1-7,I was bored so i popped in Vol.4 and started watching. I really liked these DvD's but i'm not for sure if they even are still making them. And there website is no longer up. Can anybody here shed any light on their status? :shrug:

I want to know too, you cant beat 4 dvds for 20$ at best buy!

I'm sorry to hear about your friend passing away. I remember seeing a guy at the end of the Vol.6 with a Lexus and i just put it together that he was the same person of they had the memorial page about on here not to long ago. GripVideo was based out of Hawaii correct?

And another producer is here on the forums...haha.  Yes, we were based out of Honolulu.  I put up the memorial as a tribute to Dave for his dedication to car culture and to his friends.  We all miss him and his contributions, he was one of the best friends (and business partners) I could have asked for.  He was the glue, to be honest, and without him it just never would have been the same...

elpresidente, which guy from the videos are you? I have a lot of questions about your videos and how you guys started etc.

My real name is Mike..I was typically known as "Drunken Master" in a few select segments..haha.  But I was the guy with the ever changing hairstyles who also did most of the voice-overs, did the majority of editing, and created a good bit of the music.  Dave was the business manager and did some editing as well and Jason was the PR guy.

Oh wow, you're mike? That puts a face to your screen name now. You had a blond crew cut kinda hair most of the time, right? How in the world did you guys get access to some of these places, especially some of the spots in japan? It seem like everybody knew who you guys where no mater where you went. My wife was trying to make a documentary a few years back but for one reason or another the finished product never made it. Here's the trailer.
