New lips for Work Bersaglio?

I know that they are discontinued, but is there a way to get new lips for them? If so, how much would they run roughly? and if they are 8.5 +45, can I get lips to make them 9.5 and 10.5 staggered?

I feel like this is a newb question but I can't find any answers

Sounds like there is a company in california doing new barrels. There are Weds Kranze Bazeria's for sale on clublexus that have been rebarreled. No info on the company though

Yes Bersaglio is made by Work. Lowenhart was the US name for Bersaglio and was distributed under the now bankrupt Dazz Motorsports in North America.

that page talks about widening a steel wheel, not aluminum wheels like we're talking about, but i haven't looked at the rest of the site to see whether they offer rebarrelling services. there was a thread about this on vsc a few months ago, wasn't there?

I guess just the lip could be redone at any good wheel shop then? don't know why I thought the lips were specific to these wheels:pat:

Since I don't have the wheels in my possession, anyone confirm that they are 3 piece wheels that can be taken apart and put back together? I ask because my VS-KF's were 3 piece but I couldn't get them apart since they were welded?

i went thru trying to widen my old work rims about 2-3 years ago..
i spent a long time like 6-8 months contacting all sorts of companies
and what not... everyone always just says.. OH GET NEW LIPS..
or.. OH U CAN GET IT FROM WORK.. or.. U CAN HAVE HRE or IFORGE
do it... its all BULLSHIT!

i called like 5-6 different iforge/hre type companies and they all said no!
then i was referred to calling some wheel some company called spun
or something in Anaheim who supposedly makes wheel barrels for many
custom wheel companies, and they can't do it unless u're doing a run
of 100 hoops or something...

then, i was referred to a company in CANADA called KODIAK.. who makes
barrells for BBS RS, Epsilon, and some others...
http://www.kodiakracingwheels.com/
they have a little PDF which u download and fill out for a price qoute, i was
almost going to visit a machine shop to have it all professionally measured
because that would be the right way to do it.. and after we measured it,
i talked to kodiak and they said they don't have the tooling setup for that particular
wheel barrel... ***Oh, and my friend just got some lips for his epsilons from them and
they have a 4pc minimum per run***

if u want them to make the wheel, they need to setup a rig for it. that's like almost 1200
bucks i remember, but afterward, each wheel lip won't be more than
a 250 or so.. but u gotta pay that 1200 initially first.. so if u were to make 20-30 lips,
i suppose it would be worth it, but just for one set to be widened, SCREW THAT DEAL..
its too much money...

now let me explain the route i went:

so here's the run down... MOST work VS series(VS-XX, VS-TX, VS-MX) are the same
lips... work equips, rezax, and VS-KF are for the most part the same as well..
MOST vs-xx lips can be used on rezax, but not all.. sometimes you run across a problem
with fitment i've heard(from rb wheels).
i pretty much purchased a pair of vs-xx rims brand new and swapped the faces and
sold off the left overs... i ended up paying about 1k for that to happen..
i really liked my old wheels and i purchased them with the mindset of widening them..
so after all that research and measuring... that was the best route to take.

ive even talked to people, and some claim they can just cup the lip and extend it,
but i have yet to see that actually done or find some shop who will do it..
and NO, WORK WILL NOT SELL YOU A LIP!

heres my wheels before: (8.5/9.5 +44)
and then i threw the 9.5 in front and got a 10.5 +19 for the back..

and remember, if you're ADDING to your existing lip, its like this:
lets say u have a 8.5 +44.. and u're like.. damn i want a 4" lip..
well.. if u take the outer shell off, and order a 4" lip.. you wheel
goes to a 12" ride.. now a 275/30 wont even fit anymore.. lol..
so the correct way to do it is to lower the offset and get the width
just right.. like a 10.5 +20 is much more desirable than a 12 on a +38..
it would be the same lip size, but u dont gotta get crazy with the tire..

One of the guys on a local forum here had custom chrome lips made up in china to give him neg offset 20x12" AME Modelart's. I am pretty sure he said that that with shipping to Australia it worked out at almost $2k all up for 4 lips.

They looked amazing in person, good quality chrome (though this was soon after he bought them - no idea how they hold up to the elements)

oh btw... gato redid his OZ wheels with felgen garage:
http://www.felgen-man.de/english/indexenglish.html

they might have a solution for u.. but unless you REALLY REALLY like that set of wheels,
i guess get the lips. if not, look for a more aggressive set, its not like
those are the rarest rims ever made u know? they're other sets out there..

unless you're buying oz or bbs new lips are going to be donors from other wheels, in which case you should just wait for the other wheels imo.

dude, people always say they know someone who can..
or supposedly this shop can, or this rim company can..
it comes down to a bunch of pointless calls, emails, and
driving and you're back to square one...

just learn from my experience.. to setup a machine to do
YOUR exact spec lip it costs about a G.. do u really think a
joe-shmoe shop will do that to make a couple of barrels
they can sell for 2-3 bills a hoop?

your best bet is to find other rims that for sure share the same lip...
u gotta measure and count the bolts.. u can't just eyeball it..
