Yo, what do you need these for exactly. i.e. what function are they playing in your LED taillight circuit?

At its simplest, a LED is already a Diode, and in a simple circuit all you need is some resistors to make sure that they are receiving the correct current for longevity/brightness (there are plenty of calculators out there to let you work out what resistors you need).
The alternative method for providing voltage is to use a PWM power supply (similar to what they use on model railways etc).

Neither of these should require a Current Regulating Diode

i can use 1 crd for more than one led at a time vs having to (in most cases) use one resistor trailing each led. not to mention a crd is much smaller than the avg resistor making intricate setups alot easier.

1 resister for every 4 LEDs seems to be the normal setup.

Or one PWM for the entire LED array, located behind the light.

Dunno but seeing how they are such a specific part, and their difficulty to obtain, i suspect they will be alot more expensive than resistors, for minimal gain.

Edit: I also see that they are mainly in the <5mA range. Barely near the 170mA that a decent SuperFlux needs to operate
