Have lots of small things to do before painting though. Going to replace bad rear shocks, make sure all the conversion parts are flush and clean, and then paint prep to save on painting cost...

Curious to see how your light brackets were done up.

looks like its a race to the finish.... Damicci, you, and me..... i do agree, the front bumper with the fogs do look nice. why did you change out the rear bumper though? i didnt change mine and everything looks good. what color you planning on painting it? suspension, rims, etc..?

and Damicci, whats good with your G50?

thanks for the compliments/support everyone... (RASRX7 I def dig ur sig shots)

I swapped the rear bumpers because the stock bumper had some slight body damage. Im hoping to do the silver and then add all of the chrome exterior accents (fender trims, side skirts, pillars...). For suspension I'm not sure yet as I do not like the ride of air setups, most likely I'm going to get coilovers or atleast some springs. Wheels: SSR Vienna Krais (probably 18s to save $ on tires, I might look for some 19s but $ is def the issue)

I saw damicci's pics on nico and hes off to a good start. I saw pics of your car when you first installed it but haven't seen pics since, hope its going well too.

Only color pic I have uploaded I keep forgetting to upload the one I do have.

Waiting for this 240 to sell. I don't want to dip into current funds to mod the car. But right now wifey is pretty much owner of the president for now.
808 You'll have to let me know how you cut the springs. I need to replace the front 2 struts so maybe I will do it then. I had the crappy 4x4 height.

808: how much was the kit? its the sessions kit right? Definitely diggin the ride height, might have to do the same until I can afford another option. I second Damicci's request on info to cut the springs. What size are those rims? I like the fitment.

damicci: same boat here, waiting to sell my 03 gmc sierra for more money too. Having it one color seriously looks clean.

I am probably going to shoot for this look because the body kits are most likely out of my price range. What size rims do you guys think these are?

Going thru joel at jl autobody... I think I'm getting it for a pretty good deal. Cannot post prices but I think its a good deal....

As for how many coils I cut, 2 1/2 coils, sitting on 19's... it rubs a bit in the front but I don't mind.

mista808: thanks for the info on the springs. Im wondering if i get 20s(like the pic of the black president) whether it will work with the cut springs, because you mention yours are rubbing... and Im guessing that it has 20s because yours are 19 in your pic, and the black one looks like it has bigger rims... or is it the angle and they are 19s?

update on my car... passed smog yesterday , time to go pay registration fees. and it looks like i'm going to get to start paint prep this weekend. :giggity:

i think 20s will be too big... 19s, to me, look perfect. i got a friend that was running 18" meisters and those even looked good... i dont think our bodys are big enough to do 20s and for it to look right. but to each his own.

to me, i think the black presi gots 19s on it.. on a side note, my water pump is leaking, yay for me...

Ive seen urmyhero4now's pix of his car w/19s and I think ur right 808, the black presi does have 19s.

im still on the fence though, finding tires for 20s is easier and cheaper than 19s here in sac.

808: sorry to hear about the water pump. Hope it isnt a big hassle. gl with the repairs.

I think im going to swap to my zenki lights instead. I got the chrome trunk trim to go with the kouki lights already installed, but the chrome on one of the lights is starting to crack, looks unpleasant. So i decided against installing the trim. The zenki lights have a different thickness which goes flush with the trunk lid, where the kouki puffs out so that it will be flush with the chrome trim. I think im going to sell the kouki lights with the chrome trim.

Ay updates on the stance or wheels? Did you end up cutting the springs? There is a member here (OG) that made a post about selling his G50 JIC's and they are the Super Lows that go lower than the JIC's Im running, maybe check it out? Also maybe look into the Z32 or R32 suspension parts people have been using, see cheap R32 coilovers on YAJ all the time....

i ran the z32 suspension for half a day before i moved to arizona and not only did they keep bottoming out, i kept blowing the front struts (3 pairs during those 12 hours). it was still the driveable, but i didnt want to deal with that ride comfort. it was a cheap set up and was really low but not worth the loss in comfortability. I have still have the hardware (adapters to run z32) but im leaning towards coilovers now. ibtw i have never read (maybe just never notice) that r32 suspension fits too. that definitely increases my option as where to go. r32 coilovers over the low budget ksport/d2 stuff?

The 7series rims had some poke with a 19mm adapter and no camber (b/c no suspension) lol.

DONKIN it LOL... (in case you anyone was wondering, NO i never drove it around like that)

so im still debating on dropping to a 15mm adapter or just eventually running a more negative camber. those tires were the ones that came with the wheels (255/55 and 275/55 i think), i have 215/25 on the front and 225/35 on the rear, now but its just collecting dust at the shop. anybody have suggestions? im not looking for oni camber or anything but i want the camber visible/noticeable. if keeping the 19mm adapters is the way to go, what parts specifically do you guys suggest i pick up to do so. ive been googling/searching, but the parts list is so vast that i don't know exactly what part does what and by how much. ie luca, tension rods, etc.

in all seriousness, VIP is what im interested in eventually but its not what im pushing for immediately. its the reason suspension is going to be last (summer 2012?). other than purchasing the junction produce kouki aero kit (wont be installed painted until same time as suspension), my next immediate big plan is interior, which i am hoping by the early 2012. right now im more interested in cleaning it up.

any help would be great.
i normally just lurk, since i havent done much with my car but will update as i go when things start coming together.

thanks again

so im still debating on dropping to a 15mm adapter or just eventually running a more negative camber. those tires were the ones that came with the wheels (255/55 and 275/55 i think), i have 215/25 on the front and 225/35 on the rear, now but its just collecting dust at the shop. anybody have suggestions? im not looking for oni camber or anything but i want the camber visible/noticeable. if keeping the 19mm adapters is the way to go, what parts specifically do you guys suggest i pick up to do so. ive been googling/searching, but the parts list is so vast that i don't know exactly what part does what and by how much. ie luca, tension rods, etc.

my ghetto photoshop

in all seriousness, VIP is what im interested in eventually but its not what im pushing for immediately. its the reason suspension is going to be last (summer 2012?). other than purchasing the junction produce kouki aero kit (wont be installed painted until same time as suspension), my next immediate big plan is interior, which i am hoping by the early 2012. right now im more interested in cleaning it up.

any help would be great.
i normally just lurk, since i havent done much with my car but will update as i go when things start coming together.

thanks again

I would double check about the R32, that is something I've read online here but have no personal experience with (yet), so did not mean to imply that it works guarantee. But def look into it. The reason I brought up Z32 and R32 is because it provides so many more options for us G50 guys, especially if you intend to go custom.

Im sorry to hear about what happened with the Z32 parts, were they oem? Used? Seemed to imply that you did not use coilovers, or maybe I read that wrong. Lots of variables but somewhat does confirm my thoughts that although something bolts on, it might not be designed for that use. Sounds like the weight of the Q45 front was too much for the specs of the parts you used. But hey, respect for trying, I still have not gone down that route yet, only using off the shelf parts. Would be interested to know what you used.

The reason I'm interested in this is because I'm researching for a custom cup kit that I want to build for my G50 and I think coilovers from one of these Z32/R32 alternatives might be the key to getting the ride height and suspension travel I want. So I'm looking for blown/cheap coilovers from Z32 and R32 to measure and compare for physical specs (mainly the overall length). Looking to find something shorter than my JIC's with similar valving, brand new, name brand, pillowball mount (if possible), and then run custom springs and a custom cup kit.

Sounds like the 7 series wheels should fit way better than the last time you tried (new tire setup). When I dropped my car mildly at first, my EXE phase, I estimate the car naturally went to about -1.5 front maybe -2 rear camber on stock arms. When I dumped it (as low as my JIC's go) was about -3 front and -4 to -4.5 rear, adjustable arms, but adjusted to stock spec. Then when I got the alignment, brought the rears back to about -2.5 at low height, fronts still at around -3. Plan to even it out at -3 front and rear eventually. Got my adjustable links from OG, made by SPL. High quality, around a grand for the set. Im no expert but believe pillowball mounts up front (which I do not have) allow most camber adjustment for the front, and RUCA allows most adjustment for the rear. Might be more to it tho, I just got the set one time.

I have Fortune Auto R32 GTR coilovers. Its basically the same procedure to retro fit them as the Z32. You will fit those wheels easy with 215/35, 225/35 tires on stock arms but you need a fender roll and slight pull. I was able to fit 18x10 -6, 18x8.5 -11 with slight pull on stock arms so you would be good too. My new setup is pretty crazy with SPL arms but i wont release the info till after Black2.

Yup! I can also confirm R32 GTR will fit (R32 GTS FRONTS will fit too). I can also confirm R33 (GTR OR GTS) FRONT will fit. I have tried both on an old G50 i had years ago. I think you can probably find one of my old posts about what coilovers will fit the G50.

Crazyhawaiian... thanks for the tips. will definitely look into.

simpleg50/jzz30tt: would you guys suggest the z32/r32 coilover setup over the ksport/d2 coilover g50 set?

looking to purchase z32 coilovers now seeing as purchasing kyb gr2's is gonna cost $250, and a basic set of megan coilovers is a little over 600. But i remembered that when i ran the stock z32 suspension i was running z32 front struts all the way around(front and rear on my car), does that mean im going need 4 front z32 coilovers too? or is there a way to make the z32 rear coilovers fit for the rears on my car? sorry for the noobishness but i havent been able to find any clarification thru my searches.

i noticed that jzz30tt confirmed that the fronts from the r32 fiit, but wasnt sure if he meant all the way around.

crazyhawaiian: i didnt notice your inquiry about the setup i tried, sorry for replying so late. the setup was; 4 used oem z32 front struts, 2 used oem z32 front springs, and 2 used z32 oem rear springs from a nissan junkyard.

been lurking mainly but decided since i had the free time would post a small update.

small update: car is in the shop (diamond auto, sac, ca) for junction produce kit install, repaint, and suspension. im letting the shop owner decide on color but i think he wants to do satin or matte black. ive decided to continue running the z32 setup for now. I did pick up the kouki exterior parts as well as front and rear camber, control, tension arms. have a set of 19*9.5/11 (cant remember the offsets 11 & 18, cant remember if pos/neg) work type n wheels. the interior will get a basic make over too (cleaned up and color change). at the rate that its going im hoping for a spring reveal. im still in AZ til about summer 2013. i go back to sac about every other month or so for about a week, so i try visit the president when i can lol.

i picked up a jdm president clock but recently found this on ebay and am debating on it:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Infiniti-Q45-Dash-Clock-91-96-analog-OEM-Nissan-President-92-93-94-95-dash-trim-/220939018108?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3370fddf7c&vxp=mtr

i like the color and look. i've never seen this clock as an option so was wondering if anyone else has and if its oem.

had to pick up a ucf30 ultra luxury to daily here in az. its all stock (saving the money for the president, one project at a time) and im loving the ride quality. one of these wednesdays when im free i want to try to hit up the tempe meets.

That clock is OEM for the 89-93 Q45/President. I also preferred this clock when I had my Q. I'll see if I can dig it up and give it to you if you want it.
