Prius Project.. Coming soon..

Just ordered a 2010 Prius. Should be getting it in Jan.. damm wait list.. 
 
Hopefully I can execute this project.. theres alreay lots of JDM parts thats on my want list. 
 
I still havent decided on what wheels to run.. BTW anyone know what offest to run? and how wide wheels? 
 
My friend is in Osaka right now and he was just told that Garson is comming out with a Prius.. should be unvieled next year at the Tokyo Auto Salon and Osaka auto show..

not selling the xb... just added to the garage..

YEAH!!! Marshall, when the 2010 Prius 1st came out I wanted to do one but no money to do so. Glad someone is doing it. Can't wait.

Hope you ordered the package with the 17" wheels. Those come with different headlamps (the LED/3 projector ones).

Ordered a prius IV.. I was going to get it all decked out from the dealership but alot of the options IMO was a waste of money.. THe Solat Roof was a waste becuase it only leaves the fan running and that roof has to be left in direct sunlight any thing blocking part of it it turns off.. fig. better to just get an after amrket alarm with remolt start to run the AC. 
 
NO 17 inch wheels for me becuase afteramrket is a must! 
 
the LED head lights was cool but only on the prius 5.

A frend that went to Sema texed me a pic of that car at Sema.. IT was sick.. I saw that kit online before and had to look twice becuase it look like the on on the japan site.. 
 
My friend is in Japan now and went to the DAD store.. there doing a Pirus up for the tokoyo auto show.. IM waiting to see what they come up with..

i love modded prius' if done right. im sure you guys will have a sick prius no doubt! cant wait to see what you guys are gonna do

don't get me started on the Prius. there is already more bodykits than the 2 new scions have combined. I like that Tommy Kaira one.

Found the Branew wheels.. those wheels are hella cheap. under 80,000 yen for a set.. unless I read it worng and its for one wheel.

I like the ASI concept.....hopefully the final production kit will be close to the rendering.

thats killer. I finally saw the MzSpeed one too. dope dope dope. Chicago tuning thinks Prius's are crap. of course, they think the Tesla is the shit cuz it's performance oriented. just blasphemy. I almost want to build one to start taking torphies away from the usual Toyota suspects at the shows here. getting beat by a hybrid is a shot to the gut in Chicago. 

btw, i did see that Toyota is making a 5 door version too. so here there it goes. these hybrids are here to stay.

yup people dont know how to step out the box.. many over look the Prius or any hybird. But there is so much potenial with them.. I got the bug for them when the dealership was using my XB for a show and i asked to actually really drive one for a week.. just taking the normal test drive is worth less with these hybirds. When i noticed the gas gauge didnt move from over a week of driving i was sold. The power was just like our Scions but with 3 x the gas milage. 
 
I just read that they got approval to sell prius as its own brand. I think thats a plus for the prius and plus for us. hope they try to market it like Scion did with huge support for the owners and aftermarket. 
 
Jim Lentz, president of Toyota Motor Sales, has been urging his Japanese bosses to allow him to start a Prius subbrand for the US market.  It appears that new Toyota president Akio Toyoda has been listening.  According to an article in the [URL="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125314822606718211.html"]Wall Street Journal[/URL], Toyota executives announced at a recent dealer's meeting in Las Vegas that they are considering offering new hybrid models larger and smaller than the current Prius hatchback.  Perhaps the Prius MR2 will be a reality?

The Prius line would be marketed as a subbrand within the Toyota brand, dealers who attended the Las Vegas meeting said. Like Scion, Toyota's small, inexpensive vehicles, the Priuses would be sold through Toyota dealerships. Toyota doesn't plan to turn Prius into a separate brand with separate dealers, as it did with Lexus, its luxury make.

Irv Miller, TMS Vice President, said "it is not inconceivable that Prius could outsell the Camry."

As many of you who have followed PriusChat over the [URL="http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-hybrid-news/54464-prius-toyota-sub-brand-its-getting-closer.html"]last year know[/URL], Jim Lentz has been pushing the idea of a Prius subbrand for close to a year.  At one point earlier this year, the idea appeared to be DOA.  But now following the successful launch of the 2010 Prius and the industry-wide movement toward "green" technologies (see Frankfurt Auto Show), the plan has a green light.

Adding other models under the Prius badge could also save the Mississippi plant after sitting idle following construction.
Toyota also announced that they will be spending $1 billion on marketing and advertising in the 4th quarter.  That is 30-40% more than Toyota's typical 4th quarter ad buy.  The plan includes subsidizing leases and loan rates, offering other customer incentives and helping pay for dealer ads.

So, working under the assumption that the Prius subbrand is a go, what would be the first non-hatchback Prius model that you would like to see?

I believe it is, but if Im not mistaken, the Prius kit looks very very similiar, I'm certain i saw the Prius somewhere on the Garson site. I'm having a hard time finding it now... I will post as soon as I do...

My cars here!!! been here for 2 weeks.. LOL but someone banged my 2008 MDX right when i was supposed to sell it.. and that other person didnt have insurance.. WTF and they just drive away with a ticket.. WTF with these laws.. 
 
The MDX is fixed and lucky just a fender and bumper change no frame damage. Now the problem is tring to sell is 40,000 car and its Xmas in 2 weeks.. 
 
what do you you guys think of this idea.. 
 
I owe 22,000 on the MDX.. So a trade in right now isnt even in the pic becuase they wont give me any cash back.. 
 
THe car is Reg under my GF name and also the loan.. what if i bought the car from her for the highest KBB value.. and than traded it in. that way i can get the cash back.  and the dealership will most likely take it as a trade and pay the MDX loan off and the prius is mines..
