taking apart multipiec wheels!

i was gonna take mine apart and clean/polish them.  they are lowenhart is it just a simple unbolt and re seal and re bolt?

Yes, reseal with silicon sealant. I have use window and door sealant with good success. I used the GE silicone II  window and soor sealant, found in HomeDepot or Lowes.

lowenharts inner barrels and outer lips are welded together (effectively a 2 piece wheel) so don't worry about sealing. unbolt the face, do your thing, reassemble, and torque.

Don't forget to find out what TORQUE to set the assembly hardware to.

It will depend on the type of fasteners; consult the manufacturer!!! This is important!

Where can you get new hardware for old wheels like these?

Does fastenal make replacements?

do i ened to call lowenhart for the torque specs?  anyone know it?

i mean i got that down.... but the guy above me was saying.. be torque specific.

you can torque by the fastener grade/size. there are some charts online.

no need to be all tq happy
its like 20inch pounds and shit or something stupid low. just tighten it up and call it a day. in a week, just go back over it and make sure nothing loosened
