Bay Area - Good place to mount/stretch tires
Hey I'm looking for a place to mount some 215/40/17 on a 9.5" wheel. I know Sonic MS does really good work but I heard they charge a lot. I also heard Wheel Technique does good work for a lower price so I'm leaning towards them. Any other suggestions?

There is always a price to pay for good work. If you get a great deal, be sure you know what you're getting and question the quality of work. Hit up Joseph from Tire Outlet San Jose. He may be able to help you. If not, Sonic Motorsport.
What is the quote you're getting to mount those tires?

Honestly Mike, Sonic MS is legit, but damn pricey....--- has never let me down when it comes to stretching tires.

You have to pay a premium to get things done right. Norcal is probably the worst when it comes to modifying cars. People try to lowball and cheap out on buying parts and thats why we don't really have much here. In the end, you can choose who you want to get things done with. But I will not support a shop that you mentioned that also sells knockoffs. They say they don't support it but why do they promote it on their site. =)

I haven't gotten around to calling around for quotes yet, I barely picked up the wheels on Thursday night.

sorry for the bump but i'm looking for a shop to mount tires on my SSRs.
235/35/19 on 10.5
285/35/19 on 13
I'm in Daly City. There's a shop in South SF that does it and did my Equips, but want to avoid paying their price again if I can.
Anyone else do stretched tire mounting and won't scratch/scuff/damage the lip?

We can do it at Impact Performance in SF. They are right off of 101 / 280, a few blocks from Bayshore and Industrial.

I know that shop. Bummer, I just got them mounted at another place. But I might need to flip the tires, any idea how much impact charges to dismount/remount?(295/30/19)
