Cadillac Seville VIP-Style

Saw a Cadillac one day and thought that it would propably look good VIP-Styled.
Well I don't know, it's ok I guess for a quickie.

There is a silver one running round japan right now that is pretty dope

There are a few in Japan that look sick.  Keep in mind that there is no aftermarket support.  I was thinking about doing one this winter but my insurance rates are still too high.

I used to work at a cadillac dealership so I know better then to ever buy one but if I ever owned a cadillac thats what it'd be.

I've always loved the one piece projector headlights on those.

But on topic the headlights have always been the thing that stood out from day 1 as super awesome to me. Oddly enough I still feel exactly the same way as I did the first time I seen them. I can't say that about many cars at all.

Alll the VIP mags I got keep showing that sliver one, It looks Okay but you just cant excuse that those cadillacs are not very well made or put together. That fact kind aputs me off to them but either way If done right they come out clean, to each their own. :shrug:

hell naw. I have an avanlance same shiet as the cadillac escalda ext. jsut different badges and the wood trim on the inside trust me that wouldnt look good like that even with 24" scaras

What a coincidence after i saw this thread, when i was driving i saw a black Seville with chrome rims but the thing that drew my attention was it's fitment. The car was lowered and had a pretty good poke going on, quite flush.

With all due respect, I won't go that far.  This STS puts most VIP cars to shame.  Also in Japan, American cars hold weight since they are expensive and somewhat rare.  I'm not knocking the KA9, just defending this Caddy

yup a 96 fleet would look sick since its a rear wheel drive not like all the other 90s caddy.. and its tite just because its on the same chass as a 96 impala..

 building a non platform car you are always gonna hear the ''platforms only'' phrase.
  so the ka9 regardless of how well built of a luxury car , was left out with that crowd.  now, i know first hand that this model cadillac cannot compare to , one, the reliablity of an rl and ,two,  it dosent come close to resembling the body lines of the most popular platform vip cars used. 

 this cadillac was a cover feature already. there has never been a cover shot of a ka9 before.  thats where my hate comes from.  the ka9 is from japan and it is a flagship car that follows close lines to the great s class chassis mercedes that almost all the early to late 90's vip platform cars tried to imitate.  

now,  for that comment about honda verses cadillac.   come on,  look in your vipwagon magazines and see who has the bigger fan base to win that argument over there.=) would you like to see a dodge caravan on the cover of a import based magazine before a toyota or nissan?   isnt vipwagon and vipcar the same pubilcation? 

   so i know yall probably think im just out right hating this car but, i stand by my comment.  i know plenty of ka9's or other non platform cars that deserve and could represent the cover of a imported magazine better before a domestic.  simple as that!!!
 to me its like putting a supercharger and some flames on a civic and trying to get it in a mustang magazine.  it just dosent belong no matter how nicely done it is.

   here is where the real hater in me is gonna come out.
if its not made oversees, if its not the flagship of that brand , there will always be a better car to put on the cover of a magazine that is based oversees.   when the time comes to break those rules and change it up,  make sure you give respect to the other choices from your area first, before you resort to something from the other side of the pond, regarless of how clean it is.

if domestics are gonna get a right of passage to this style, then ill never understand why there was such a big hype over the platform rules in the beginning.  it should have just been, anything goes from the start. then they would of had alot less hating among the brands.

but hey , these are all my opinions. im not trying to offend anyone here. that cadillac is cool in its own way. im just not feeling it to what i see as a good vipcar.

This Caddy has been in the circuit since 2007.  It didn't just get thrown on the cover, it earned its way in there with the changes and added details it underwent through the years.

There are lots of nice KA9's in Japan but the only one I can see on the cover (in todays scene) is the burgundy one with the Weds Vishnu's.  It may very well make a cover one day.

There is so much more to making the cover of VIPcar/Style then meets the eye.  A well built car is not enough.  It has to be current with the style and trends.  From there, the execution has to be perfect.

Yo that car is sick, and sick cars (vip or vipstyled) deserve noteriety IMO. But hey even Jags make covers over RLs and so do 929 Sentias, but wheres the hate there? Maybe the real discrimination comes from the drivetrain, hmmmm. Caddys are flagships and you iz VIP to get one shipped over to Japan. 
Besides, can you really say a RL is more luxury than a Cadillac? 

Sure things can be made, but that doesnt necessarily make them...

Also, the 151 Majesta which is higher on the food chain then the Celsior, was designed to look like a Caddy.  Cadillac is respected

Just as we look at japanese cars we can't get and think they are the shit the japanese look at cadillac and think its the shit.  Even if they are shitty cars to a degree and not nearly as well made as the japanese they have QUITE the pimpin pedigree I think no one here will dispute.

 that burgundy rl you talking about came on the scene about that same time. it made features in both vipstyle and vipcar.  i doubt a cover shot is in its future unless its completely redone.  i have found many ka9's recently that can top that one with the current trends and seem to have great execution as well.

 yes i definately can!!!  and when we break it down and compare it to the square body flagship J- cars.  i feel the rl ''looks''even more luxurious than a gs.  bubble lights resemble a sporty look rather than luxury style to me.

 i wanted to see the platform rules be broken more than anybody. and when i first mentioned anything about putting 20's on any car around here, i was told to join a dub site.     man....... how times have changed ?  :pat: a caddy on 22's is vipstyle dope yo!!!!  i wasnt ready for this big of a change just yet.

 i have respect for all cars in general,  i guess it just disturbs me to see a domestic car on the cover of a magazine filled with japanese writing.   it could be im just jealous.=)

Wow...yo the caddy isnt on the cover of the mag, at least vipcar or vipstyle. And true the lights on gs looks sporty, much like the benz, but i like the sportiness hence why i got it. Idk about how you got into this status competition frame of mind about wutz wut...more vip, less vip....underdog, but thats not what the scene iz about where im from, and we do it big imo. Hopefully youll grow out of that so you can learn to appreciate all cars and not segregate them..G/L wit that homie!:shrug:

honda= can be made into luxury. some of the new ones are already  have some luxury items from the factory but its still no caddy.

I want to see one of these done up badly.  I was thinking about grabbing one seeing as they aren't too expensive and starting my foray into a huge build with it.  But i never went too deep into what suspension it has and so on so forth.  But I believe a company called D2 makes suspension and big brakes for these caddies.

i just found the pix of the buick on the net. i wasnt the one that chopped it. but it does look like a GS tho... can some one chop the caddy?

Haha just cause they both have 4 headlights doesn't mean they look they same. Grill, door handles, roof profile, door trim, ect... all different. 4 headlights and the shape of the chrome around the windows is all I can see that look the same.

1) that Buick looks like a missing GS generation between what we see most often and the new body style...but it still reminds me of a GS

2) That STS is a sweet car from the factory so easy on the "its a crappy car from cadillac".  While most of the Caddy's struggled back then, there were a lot of things going for that STS ( I'd take a V8 Northstar engine)

3) as stated before Cadillac IS luxury, Honda has a luxury division...sort of

4) Also as stated, That car is more uncommon in Japan.  How many times have you seen a very mild car on the covor of any one of the import car mags even though there are plenty of cars that were built more or stood out more but because it was a rare JDM car it made the cover.  That Caddy deserves to be on the cover of a Japanese mag.

I don't think you realize how big the bentley lights really are.  All 4 lights from the GS would just barely clear 3 of the 4 Bentley lights.  Also they are much taller.  They just look small because the Bentley is so big.

The Buick looks very much like the GS, look at the side window frames.  I wouldnt confuse a Buick for a GS but the similarities are there

the Northstar  that Cadillac came out with had quite a following for some time. Some people think its God's gift.

Daaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmnnnnn. i was thinkin bout maybe tackling the project of a Cadillac VIP but this buick is tight.  makes me wanna stunt a Buick.

That's by far the sickest Buick I've ever seen. The headlight configuration is similar to a GS but that's it really. The rake of the headlights into the hood reminds me of a Jaguar mostly.
Either way I'd rock either the Caddy or the Buick without hesitation. I think I like the Buick better.....
