motorola droid!

What do you guys think about the new Motorola Droid?

i havent played or seen it in person but from the specs and pics on verizon's website... it looks sickkk!

i want to get one but i upgraded my damn line when i got the shitty bb storm

I got my droid about 3 days ago and its pretty cool so far, no complaints

what droid version do you guys have?

I went to upgrade my old phone the same day the Droid came out, coincidence cause I didn't even know anything about it, but that ish looked dope and had everything I wanted, so I picked up the Motorola one. Its dope, fast, and has a bunch of tricks, even takes nice pics (5 MP). They just gotta make an extended battery for it. For my 1st smart phone, I say it was easy to learn using it. Wrote this up from the Droid too :biggthumpup:

I need to pick up the droid...my stupid samsung omnia is starting to crap out on me.

What do you mean buy droid version? The motorola android has android 2.0 on it. I love this phone, hahahahaha.

There are 2 Droids. I believe the other one is made by HTC and that one doesn't have a keyboard, all touch screen.

If any body has a phone thats running Android, it has some pretty cools apps. I prefer a physical keyboard, thats why i got the Droid

I heard that they might bring the iphone to verizon.

There are different version of droid..but I believe that all the motorola droid's are running at 2.0. My HTC Dream is running at 1.5, i like the droid software, its stable and doesnt crash.

But I like the apple apps available...

one of the droid apps that i find very useful is called TASK killer...it basically force closes all the applications, and maximizes the speed and memory of one app.

They are not sure if there is going to be an upgrade to android 2.0 for the htc

What apps do you have on you HTC?

google stuff, like google map, latitude, wapedia, meebo, chomp sms (makes your sms look like apple), fx currency, shop savvy, battery widget, task killer (highly recommended), and games..like robot defense (very addicting haha), and other useless crap. haha.

overall I like the HTC and android, its just there are way more things for apple..

just got my motorla droid last night..
soo far i like it.

Love my Droid.  Hate the slide out keyboard, but forget its there most of the time anyway.

The keyboard is one of the reasons i got the droid, i have to have a physical keyboard.

I love it.  Unfortunately it only has an on-screen keyboard.  I was going to get a Blackberry Tour since I was eligible to upgrade.  I wanted to do it soon since I didn't like my Touch Pro one bit.  Then I found out that the Hero can surf actual websites and not HTML and can play certain Flash.  Sold.

The reason I wanted to go with the Blackberry Tour was because I was a previous Blackberry owner (8830) and loved it.

im gonna get the droid when my upgrade is due in Feb..  i havent played with one yet.. none of the Verizon stores have one to play with...:(

Sorry i had meant to say, flash 10 support for the droid and not, full flash.

thinking about staying with Verizon and getting one of these???  How much is everyone paying for their plans with this?

We it depends, I'm on a family plan. Its all about your situation, the phone cost like 250 with tax included. And the data plan is 25 dollars on top of whatever regular plan u choose.

I cant speak, my company pays for my plan and since my brother manages the account. I can use any upgrade that comes along over the 40 lines of service.  Me and 3 others are the only ones with phones that arent 3 years old.  I actually had to just go out and make people get new phones 3 years ago because the ones they had were so beat.  Old people hate new technology.
