Try the Daikokufuto parking area any night or anytime on the weekend, but night time is usually the best<<

You need to get on the Wangan Expressway towards Yokohama. Daikoku is in the bay there across the Yokohama Bay bridge. You'll see exits that say "Daikoku Futo PA" follow that down the spiral to the lot.

Re: Q about Japan

Tokai is the place for early morning drifting. Ryutsu Center stop on the Tokyo Monorail will get you close. then head down the main road towards the waterfront for some drifting action. It's on the main road. check JDM Insider Vol.2 DVD. they covered it there. I've also seen some youtube vids from there as well.

Re: Q about Japan

LoL, you are in the wrong area of Shinjuku (or maybe its the right area? Depends what you are after :D). Careful of those strip clubs. It gets very expensive if a hot girl starts talking to you :)

You should visit Hasegawa, that is easy to get to by train and its kinda cool (just dont expect them to speak any english)

Re: Q about Japan

for me, i would rather just go to the tokyo bay autobacs. its located kind of close to odaiba so you can explore odaiba island, fujitv, enjoy the scenery for a bit...hahah and then go check out the tokyo bay autobacs. its always full of cars and the store itself is just plain enjoying to be in

Re: Q about Japan

Pachinko: Buy a bucket of beads and put it into the loading tray. Then you turn the knob slightly and they will start firing. Its a bit like a pinball machine crossed between a Machine gun. They just keep firing and the speed at which they fire is dependant on how much you turn the knob

As they go up they fall down the screen in a seemingly random pattern. The trick is to get them to fall in the middle, -that causes the bit in the centre to do its bit - it counts until you have 5 or 10 then spins a poker machine type reel. If you win that you get more beads.

The trick is to do the power so the bead falls just short of the top of the machine. They are most likely to go in the centre

At the end if you have more beads then you started you can cash those in. Whats amazing is to see the old people with 20 or 30 buckets of beads behind them!!

Kinda fun, but also pretty quick - 2000yen lasts about 10 minutes if you dont win!

Re: Q about Japan

Dude thems not whore howses they are snaks. The 7000 is just to get seeted then the meter stops. You being alone and not speaking any japanese would probobly get you a visit by the yak to get you to pay the $800 bill they charges you after the 7000 yen entry fee.

As well there is no whoring going on just drinking and maybe some petting.

Get on the yamanote train the silver with a green stripe. Head twards Ueno and get of at ikibukuro station. Catch a quick cab or you can walk it but head down to sunshine city. You can go to the toyota musium thingi. Its the round looking building thats about 12 stories tall. Its right next to the shuto ko. Its always lit up neom blue at night and its easy to find. If you get back on the train head to akihabara you can ge of at the electronics exit and just trip threw the shops. there is alot of export or duty free there and they have sterios and car electronics. As for events get a custom car mag and have someone read you the event schedual there might be something close.

Other wise daiko fri sat night is the only nights to go but you will need wheels to get there. You might catch a few crazys behind fuji tv BUT ITS A WAIST TO GO IF IT AINT HAPNIN. iIf you dont mind going to yokohama then take a train to minatomurai and ask how to get to tokyo blits or the yokohama convention center. Its right around the corner from pan pacific hotel. There is a hard rock there to, But thats the cruse street. You will see everything there
