D2 Air Suspension - Anybody have these yet?

Does anybody have any experience with the D2 Air Suspension kits?? A friend of mine recently installed it on his 2GS and said it rides great and works great. I saw it for myself, and it definitely looks legit, the installation was pretty easy as well, but I am trying to get some input from other people. The biggest benefit for me to getting this kit is that I can get it locally and the owner can get me any replacement parts or fix any problems if I have them. Anyways, does anybody have any experience with them?

Ksport is same as D2 ... well i went to their(D2) factory befor, and saw they painting all caliper and packing box for both D2 and ksport also some other brand , if i were u , i would save my money for Air runner, i just change mine to Air runner set up
D2's bag was made by this other company in taiwan , and now the bag company make their own kit call air rex
make sure stay out from this brand , cuz my rear sus just sit and blow twice already , you never know what will happen next day when u wake up
frist time the rear bag just blow on the hwy when i was on the way home from D2 factory
their cup kit is ok , but not the bag

Price appears to be $3700 on their site. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that fairly close to Air Runner? In that cash I'd just save a little and get something I know is good and proven quality.

I'm looking at a LS400 with the D2 suspension already installed. It's the bagged system, and not the cup/coilover. One question, when it is slammed and you raise it, there is a loud popping sound as the car is rising up. I asked the owner what that popping noise was and he said he heard it too and called D2 and they said it was from the bag inflating. Is this legit?

ditto.

but Ksport and D2 came up to what it was.
still not the best company out there.
but they came up.
Any body that has owned or knew someone that had them can tell the difference.

Me and a friend where talking about that the other day.

I would be a bit sketchy on D2 since they are the same as K-Sports. Back in the day when I used to work on alot of 240's a lot of the customers were running on k-sports and so many of them had blown shocks and most under one year of running them.

Another company for less expensive air suspension is Air Force which so far I have not heard anything bad about them yet. But is all comes down to you get what you pay for. I would love to run the Tanabe Air Cobras however the down side to them is that they do not go very low

the D2 setup is identical to the K-Sport setup, except K-sport comes with 2 compressors.

I had the K-Sport pro setup on my 2IS and drove about 3000 miles on a road trip from FL to PA to NJ to West VA and back to FL... I didn't have a single problem with them.

I was iffy at first due to all the stories and rumors about their struts and shocks blowing but from experience they held up great!

Every company has a flaw at one point, I'm pretty sure K-Sport has solved that issue by now.

I've had a set of D2 coilovers on my Diamante for like 30k+ miles and I'm pretty happy with them. The ride quality has been good even when slammed and I've never blown a strut or anything (knock on wood).

From what I gathered prior to purchasing them they are fine for daily drivers and some mild sporty driving. for people putting coilovers on track cars or cars driven a little more aggressively you gotta get something higher quality than D2.

I've been saving up for a D2 Air suspension kit so hopefully I'll get it soon and I can give you feedback on that. The price is only $2200 and thats direct from D2, I got that quote over the phone. Thats a lot more reasonable then $3700

FYI AIRREX is nothing near the quality of those other brands. The other guy used to get there bags from AIRREX but took the bags to CHINA to use Cheaper lower quality rubber. AirREX Has patents on the bags thats why the bag company that make the other guys bags couldnt copy airrex design and there all the same chinesse bags ..

AIRREX spcializes in Rubber products for automotive OEM and car manufactures.

Great information. My opinion it is all up to the end user. If you take care of it, like any other product it will last.. Ive installed 3 brands (ksport, airrex, airlift) and all seem to be good products. Nothing lasts forever so choose the one that fits your budget and up keep on the maintenance.. Keep on vipN..

Ive had a horrible experience dealing with airforce.. I needed two replacement bags so i contacted them directly, they wont pick up the phone when u call them, they will only text you. When i tried to email them directly no reply, and when i finally got a hold of them through text i was quoted at $350 per replacement bag (when D2 quoted me at $250 each and its the same manufacturer) When i told them that they lowered it to $250 and said they price match. So i paid for the replacement bag and told me it would take 5-7 business days to recieve the item. I never recieved shipping info so i contacted them again (through text, they still wouldnt answer the phone) they told me it was still going through inspection. I started to worry so I contacted ksport, bagriders, and D2 to see if they could get me a replacement bag faster, all of them told me it will take 4-6 weeks to get sa replacement bag (from taiwan) and their orders are backed up so it might take longer. Airforce has HORRIBLE customer service and they wouldnt send me pictures when i requested to see the bags even if they still had to be inspected. So i then contacted paypal and told them and got my refund. Go airrex man they have excellent customer service and actually care about their customers!!

D2 makes Air Force, Airtekk Ksport. Its the same thing rebranded. I would go with Airrex we hold the patent that D2 cant fully copy the orginal design that works the best.

Right on Marshall.

I have no complaints with AirRex. Seven cars on Guam equipped with AirRex and all are happy with no complaints and made the right choice.

yeah.. the guy for Airforce air is out here in vegas... and man what horrible customer services.. he was quick to take my money though.. my friend is a good friend of his and was able to get me a good deal on a kit.. only to find out later, stuff was missing.. and when I tried to talk to him, via text of course, cause that is the only way he would reply. He said it's because he didn't make any money off the deal so the kit is what it is.. the damn compressor didn't even come with relays.. had to order some new ones from Accuair. Anyways enough for my rant.. Next time I will definitely be coughing up dough for some badass airrex!:) oh and my rear suspensions make a loud pop sound also when inflating.. doesn't seem like anything it's hitting anythhing though, maybe it is just the bags inflating.

D2 is also the same as TWR. When I eventually take the factory active air suspension out of the president I'll be going with twr bags and accuair e level. I have a few friends on twr's and they're all really happy with the ride quality.
