Repainted the hood finally!

Well, when I bought the car there were signs of a repaint on the hood and after about 8 months it REALLY started to show. I can't tell if they used a crappy 1 stage or 2 stage or if the materials used were just that bad? Finally the hood ended up looking like this though....WTF?

You can see how it looks like the Grey from underneath came through and what you can't see is it looked like someone combed the hood with a steel afro pick for about 2 weeks straight???

So last night my buddy hooked me up and painted the hood for me.
Final stage of clear

And how it looks now...It no longer makes me want to repaint the car a different color but just redo the Super Black instead:biggthumpup:

Also makes me wish I had him do the inner barrels on the fiances VSKF's in the background of the last pic...

Thanks guys, My whole car definately needs paint down the road, but for now ( and for the price) I couldn't wait any longer for the hood. I should be getting my interior back in the next weeks and putting some wheels on soon so I hope to have some semblance of a almost VIP car soon...

definately no runs, I'm afraid it may get a little orange peel because the base was so bad from the previous work though. Mike did a great job of taking it down as far as we could w/o going all the way to the metal... It still looks like glass so far though...but he always does great work.

you can do some wet sanding if its within a 2 week period from what ive been told by my painter. then do a buff and should be perfect but you prob already knew that
