tire stretching on 7.5 width, i know i know its weak

im looking at stretching tires on a 7.5 inch wheel, because i dont want to buy new wheels instead im just gonna run spacers for the flush look. this will be on a 2.5 tl where widths are VERY limited.

now what do u guys recommend for a good stretch on 18 x 7.5 inch wheel?

Re: tire stretching on 7.5 width, i know i know its weak

Not sure that they make tyres skinny enough to stretch onto a 7.5...

I have 215/35s on my 9s and that is a mild stretch, so take at least 40mm off that.

Something like 175/35 or 165/35? But then the recommended wheel width for that tyre would have to be an 18x5 or 18x6 and since they dont exist, you might be out of luck.

Re: tire stretching on 7.5 width, i know i know its weak

your onyl real option is a 205-35-18, which are 50 bucks on average, more expensve than a 225-40-18 which means theres 200 you can put to wheels.....

seriously, i can wholesale 225s for 100, but 205.35 are 150 because no one ever needs them... so unpopular

Re: tire stretching on 7.5 width, i know i know its weak

who makes 205/35/18?

My gf's car has 18x7.5 with 215/35/18 Falken Ziex 512. Nice clearance due to the sidewall design.

does any one have a picture of a 205 on a 7.5

if not what do u guys recomend for a wheel, i want something where i can just roll my fenders i dont want to pull becuase i dont think it will flow well with the boxy lines of a 2.5 tl

anybody have any pics? of a 2.5 tl with a wider wheel on them?

Toyo makes a 205/35-18 in the T1-R. I currently have their 215/35-18 on 18x8 on my MR2, but it's taller and not as stretched as the 235/30-18 on the rear 18x9. I'll probably switch to the 205/35-18 at some point...

Re: tire stretching on 7.5 width, i know i know its weak

if you want to exaggerate the look, get falkens...they tend to stretch more than a tire of the same size, but different brand...

Re: tire stretching on 7.5 width, i know i know its weak

socal could u show me some pics of the stretch please?
also do think the stretch will be enough to run the wheels very flush with the body, with rolled flat fenders?
