will these fit my gs430, 2nd gen

Hi Peeps

I am new to the forum and live in the uk

Not many people i know that are into the vip scene here but i have always loved it and need your assistance as no one here has a clue what i am talking about.

Well here goes

I would like to fit these wheels to my 2nd gen lexus gs430

what you guys think will these fit as i will be lowering the car on coilovers and do not want to do no major fender work, as i have the duraflex fenders on the front of my car at the moment and do not want to mess with them.

or if these will not fit i have a friend with 19 x 9.5 front et45 and 19 x 9.5 et45 rear (same all round not staggered).  will these fit my car or do i need to do arch modifications.

sorry forgot to mention that the 20" PETROL alloy wheels are et 20 front (8.5) and et40 rear (10.0)

they will fit easily. i would recommend 15mm spacers fro the front and a 20mm for the rear.  wait maybe a 10mm for the front depending on how much stretch u can get on a tire

you cant be VIP if you havent fender mod'd
those wheels aren't really VIP style but if like em, thats what matters most.
those +20 offset ones should fit alright. the +40 is just horrible....sunken battleships if you ask me
it depends on how low you are too though

Thanks guys for taking the piss but i live in england and dont have much choice when it comes to buying vip style rimz.

if anything is available its maximum 18" and i have to pay around 3500-4000 dollars

so just making most of what i can get hold of.

what you guys think about 9.5j all round et45, will these fit as the wheels have a 4" dish all round and its the best i can get at the moment

also what size tyres should i use on these wheels, so they clear the front fenders and have a stretch all round.

With an offset of +45, you wouldn't need to do anything to your fenders.  The reason why you're able to get a 4" lip would probably be because the wheel (face) is convex.  Search for a user by the name of Jedidah and look through his threads.  I believe he's 9.5" in the rear as well but with a lower offset with the help of spacers.  If none of those wheels suit your taste, I recommend saving up.  I'm also lowered and rolling on stockers if that matters.  

My advice to you is: don't be so hasty when it comes to modifying your car because you're going to regret it in the future.

Also, don't feel so confined as to what wheels you are able to get ahold of just because you're in the UK.  The power of the Internet as well as the vendors here at VSC are here to help you get to where you want to be.  Welcome to VSC! :)

While some of the posts on here were a little rude, the message they were trying to give you is that in vip style, fitment is VERY important. Having 4" of lip means *nothing* if your wheels are not sitting near the fenders. Thats why everyone is recommending that you get lower offsets than you are suggesting.
 
The wheels you have bought will not give you the 'wheels flush with fender' look that is synonymous with vip style. On the flipside you wont have to do anything to your fenders, and you can also run the 'recommended' tyre size, as well as zero camber and all of that. In short, these are the sizes/offsets that your local tyre shop would have bought for you if you asked for wheels for your car.

If you are on coilovers, look for wheels in widths of 9 front 10 rear and in the low to mid 20's in the offsets to give you a slight tuck but almost flush look.  Like everyone else mentioned, a +40 offset would look nice on a FWD Honda but would be very sunken in on a RWD Lexus.  Do some more research.  Help is out there with all of your questions if you search

also in reference to you saying youre in the UK and you just buy what you can get your hands on, thats a poor excuse. you will find not many of us on here are in Japan which is where most of our wheels come from... you just save more and look 2nd hand and get the wheels imported. My wheels brand new cost me $2700AU imported with nuts, centre caps, hub locator rings etc, which is like 1200 or something pounds. No tyres, but this is a VIP forum. it isnt a 'modified lexus' forum like clublexus or clubaristo, its about VIP style so noone here is going to pat you on the back for cheaping out and buying whatever you can get your hands on cheaply because that isnt the ethos of the site...everyone on here is harsh but constructive generally... always pushing each other...
