Y34 is one of the tuffest car to modd .. especialy with air sus.. post a pictures .. introduce you self and tell us what your plans are .. i am sure we will be of help .if you are going to go all out VIP on this thing be ready to spend almost the same as the $$$ car .... .. trust me this stuff can get very expensive ...

Welcome. Everyone is right these things are expensive to mod. Plus parts are very hard to find. I wish I had mine back in my youth when I had no obligations and could spend all my money on my car. Now things take much longer to get done.
i don't see why people say parts are hard to find. it's just as easy to import y34 stuff as any other platform. just gotta be able to foot the bill.

There are no intakes, exhuasts or any other performance mods available that are bolt on or actually made for the us spec m45. Since the JDM model had a turbo V6 instead of the V8 that the US model has importing anything for that car is basically useless in this dept. 2. On the suspension front all of the "bolt on" coilovers and air suspensions from japan "fit" but are not really made for the car due to weight differences. There are only 2 springs as far as I know that have been "easily" attainable, The Tein and Espiler. Once again they "fit" but aren't really for the car. 3. As far as body kits go there are NO us kits for the car and no lip kits that will work with US SPec bumpers. So unlike most other cars where you can find a decent lip kit for a reasonable price you are out of luck. Since the car is not widely produced nobody stocks the items like they do for the LS or the GS so you end up paying the full cost of the shipping from japan if you do import something. There are a million off the shelf exhausts for cars like the LS and GS but there are exactly 0 for the M. Since there are less of the car to sell to vendors and manufacturers charge more to make up the RD on the part.

wow~ its that hard to get parts for this car?? anyhow i have a ufc10 too but its kinda old and so many around.. i wanted to be different.. i guess i have to pay the difference to be different . and i love the body style.. its timeless for me. but thanks for the heads up guys!! already feel like family.

Yeah, black ones are a completely different creature. My dad has one of the white/pearl/cream colored ones. It almost looks like a completely different car in black. Y34 looks best in black for sure. Don't let the challenges stop you from chasing your dream man.
Justin is Running on buddy Club coil over i have e mail him for info on where he got those ..as for his car i think its one the hottes BLK on BLK y34 ..( no offence CAKES ) . I cant wait to see what you have in store ..hope you have a strong wallet cus it going to cost around 10 g .. for rims,kit and air suspension ...... price we pay to be one and far .... this is why this car is special!!! I love my CAR!!! tho its hard to find. but if theres a will, you will find a way!!

Same with my car too, gotta fab em up.....this style does take cash to prosper, I am not saying that you gotta drop a shit load but its gonna cost you more then a 240 or civic to build, but you will feel even better once its done cause you made it happen. Suspension is more then it would be on a Lexus if you choose to go with coilovers. If you go with air, its just about the same price. Install will be slightly more via Universal Air because the front takes longer to install. Kits are all the same price and so are wheels for any platform car. Throwing a little glass on top of the grill area to fit a USDM Infiniti grill is no big deal. Or you can always get the JDM grill and lights and not have to mod the bumper. The only hard part I see is that there are no used parts, knockoffs or cheap coilovers readily available out there like you would find on a Lexus. Pretty much the same with the F50. It separates those who just want to fit in a scene and those who are serious about modding. Good luck with your build. Black Y34's look sick
