is it possible to do 99-00 trunk conversion on a 97? cuz it kinda looks the same but ionno has anyone seen or herd of it?
Yes and people swap the two all the time. Some prefer the 97-98 over the newer one
Since everyone is gonna say do some research, since it is on here a bunch of time, all u need is the 97-98 tail lights and trunk and there u go. Vegasy33 did it to his. Look for his build thread on here

I like both styles, I have had both a 97 and now a 99. I especially like the chrome bar on the newer 99 trunk so kouki better than Zenki unless zenki has a "t" wing!
so if i got a 99 and i switch to a 97 trunk. how hard is it to wire everything up? cut and splice?
I've never tried it myself, but I'm guessing you may have to run wires to the trunk for the inner brake lights. The reverse should already been there, but I'm assuming they don't have the exrta wires for the brakes since those lights are on the trunk. Just a guess

Just a guess[/QUOTE] sounds about right... i have a 2000 and swapped out the taillights to the 97/98 outters cuz its clear instead of pink... doesnt sit flush flush but I sure do like the look from behind... it doesnt look too bad...

I'm picking up my 97-98 trunk this week and aslong as you get the complete trunk harness it will be some minor wireing and you need the outer and inner tail lights the 99 outers wont fit right with the 97 trunk
