ls400 to ls460 conversion must be alot of body work.
 
but my fave is the the bentley front end from Agi.

The full Ls 460 conversion on the ucf 20 makes it look like a 5/7 series. But the 3gs on the 2gs is one I'd actually do.

i agree does make them look like a beemer not really feeling those , but i have seen some nice 10 to 30 conversions like widebodyq posted online and in magazines, some conversions look nice and others are like "why did u even bother" lol

Dam that looks mean! I wouldn't mind LS460 front but with 430 rear on a UCF10 combined with some crazy fenderwork.

the ls400 to ls460 conversion looks pretty nice..actually looks like a new car..like it should be its own model

How can spending $5k tops on a front or rear conversion compare to buying a $64,000 car? :pat:

You are missing the cost of fabrication and paint.  If you dont have any body shops which are willing to do the job or you dont trust them to do so, you can get the LS460 front conversion from Dolce as a bolt on kit for over $20,000.  You got to keep in mind that dimensions and body lines on different cars are not the same.  The vertex 2gs-3gs is around the same price.  This is not cheap

In some cases, yes it would be more cost effective like doing a UCF20-30 swap.  Some may argue that a UCF20 with a front and rear 30 swap will look better because the hood and trunks are lower giving the illusion that the car is lower.

That Dolce price is pretty insane but I guess if you dont have a reputable shop by you then you dont have a choice.Pretty sure it can be done for way less.JC Autobody here in Houston has done import showcar work for 10+ years now.Aslong as you got the main things like lights,they will make the rest happen.I would say average is $4k per car fully painted with custom work.

It wont come out the same.  Thats the price for the lights, custom shortened and less wide hood, custom smaller grill, smaller bumper, fenders, fogs, etc.  

But damn, thats pretty cheap for body work.  I might have to pay for shipping to get some work done lol

Wow!!! $4k for a full paint job with custom work. I would have to say that's below average. I wouldn't touch a job that labor intense for that kind of doe.

Consider the $4k more of a starting point for that shop on a custom job.Of course prices will go up as you add on things,color you choose,etc,etc.Lots of members from here got their car done by JC but none conversions.RacinStylez LS430,Celestak widebody 350z,MrExecutiv GS,KalvinMaui's G are all by them.

the cost of the vertex kit is say...3000 (if you can get a deal) + headlights and grill which im guessing the cheapest youd get it for is like...4kish, thats if you just get the grill and headlights, . not including paint and labor for install. total for install + paint would be alot more than the 4k you thinking homie.

Read my other post.I put $4k would be a starting # for paint job with [I]some[/I] custom work.

custom fenders / bondo =/= a conversion of any kind.

i guess it depends on the owner how picky they are too...there are some people who can't stand used lights/grille and i am sure brand new ones will add to the price of the conversion.

for example lexbubba's front end is all brand new not pulled from junk cars. you guys will trip if the lexbubba tell you how much his whole exterior project cost.

Id be very interested in one of those LS400 conversions..who has the info

If I had a 30, I would want to park no where near this 20 converted 30.  I would hate and say "hes cheating" cause it looks so crazy and low

that 20 / 30 is the ish.

Dam,I always thought that was a LS430.Saw that video 1000 times before and never figured it was a conversion.

The 2GS to 3GS is my favourite.
The UCF10/20 to 460 just doesn't look right to me. I like the lowness but the nose just looks way too long and out of proportion.
The Bimmer hood doesn't do anything for me either, mostly because everytime I see a Bimmer conversion it's always on a Civic or Accord.

i love to see the ls 400 chassis upgraded to the ls 430 but ,if i was gonna do a conversion. i would defiantely go for something untapped here in the states.  maybe more like this.

 ive always thought a ls430 would be a great car for a 12th gen crown conversion.  dont think ive even seen this tried yet in japan.  someone school me if im wrong.

^My thoughts exactly.  I have been waiting for years for someone to do a clean conversion from a GS or LS to a Crown.  We see the same stuff over and over.  Its nice to see a change

Yes thats a caddy grill.  The car was once white with the f50 grill reto'ed into the shape of the y33 grill from what I remember.  Not the best conversion IMO.  The lines dont work well

...color matched hood cowl spoiler and window visors are dope though. But yeah, too much confusion going on.

I hear you lol.  When you are into the car show scene, you will do lots of crazy stuff that don't make sence to anyone but they get attention at shows.  Not always good attention but some of these guys are just after the wow factor

It's a bit cheaper than 20k for the 2nd->3rd gen conversion on the GS....Panda said he paid about 10k total, and I think he went with all new OEM parts for the lights/grille. 
 
You could get it done for 8k if you get some deals on the OEM parts, maybe even cheaper if you have a hookup on paint. It's completely bolt-on. You could even just do the front, and it'll save almost 1500? for not having the sideskirts/rear bumper. 
 
The Dolce kit was way more, and the guys who do that must have platinum plumbing and dollar bill TP. 
 
Just remember...if you are going to do it, do it right, or else get stuck with some retarded looking downsyndrome car lol!

that molded rear wing is pretty ugly. looks like the car has a cyst or boil in the paint right above the tail light

some great conversions here, def interested in the 3gs front on a 2gs. looks quite nice.

look at the door handles... key giveaway (unless they switched those out too)

only the 400s had shaved handles like so.

Those are both UCF20s.  Look at the body lines, C-pillar, lowness of the front end and the bottom of the window frames on the rear doors.  They did swap out door handles.

Here's my car:  LS400 merged w/ the 04-06 LS430 front bumper.  Nothing nearly as crazy as some of the other conversions posted.

no one noticed the 2 piece rear glass on the second one? still looks like a 20 but that throws me off a little. wonder whats going on...

I did notice.  Its not 2 piece.  They just put the chrome pillar post on the glass to give it that look.  They just dont roll down the windows
