This year Team Sumospeed is putting on it’s 4th annual car show and this  year is going to be the first year we are doing the show as part of an  event named Springfest. This year’s Springfest is the first annual event  of it’s name and they will continue as long as we are able to put them  on. Springfest 2010 is being held on Saturday, May 15th, 2010 at Harbor  park in Norfolk, VA.

Any updates on this event? I was told that the venue recently changed. I attempted to view the link that is posted, but it's no longer available. Was this event canceled? 

My GF and I are planning a mini vacation down in VA beach and want to make reservations at a hotel that weekend. If someone has an update, let me know.

I'm going to park on the meet side. I will probably not be taking the SC though. 
I'm bringing "project Fit" :biggthumpup: which is 100% stock. It's comfy, roomy, and gets 
great gas mileage of course.

 But i know my car isn't show worthy but I might just enter for the hell of it.

i'm comming down saturday morning. besides the stance on my G50 my car isn't that special but if everyone here on this forum decides to enter ill do it for the hell of it. 20bucks isn't that bad to chill, meet some people and to have a good time.

Call aloft hotel in Chesapeake va (I think Steve is staying there) or the hyatt place in Chesapeake va. Both are in the greenbrier area. Not to far from show or decent places to chill and my house.

Alright! Captain George's has never let me down when it comes to the seafood buffet.  The place is about $30 a head but its well worth it.

sumo isnt doing this to make money off of us. they are going to recycle all the money to do a bigger and better show later. if they get our support now we can count on them making this a yearly event for us.  whats a couple more bucks? just dont get a coffee from starbucks the rest of the week. lol 

my cars arent ready for show but i did it anyways. heck my paint on both cars are crap an need repainting but i stalled it just to make this event.

isnt $20 a car the showing price? $5 is the meet and entrance fee.  im not trying to nit pick the difference in price but if it helps sumospeed have a successful show and to see it return every year why not support it?

Yes u can register when u get to the show. Isn't iso setting up a vendor booth? If so did you tell them you wanted to be situated with the group I'm organizing?

ok this is the word from sumospeed. there are two seperate parking areas. 

one for show those who paid $20 and one for the people who paid $5 to just hang out. that parking lot will also just have spectators parking there aka stock cars lol. 

since a majority of us have already preregistered for show and paid $20 if you want to park together cough up the extra dough and support sumospeed for throwing this event for us.

it seems alot of people were trying to cheat the system and only pay for one or two show cars then pay $5 for a bunch of other cars and asked if they can park together. so in the good decision of sumospeed not to favor anyone they laid down the law.  

i hope the people that havent registered will register for show when they arrive and let sumospeed know you want to park with "Joe Dizon" and Stock or Modified body works.  the people working the gate will show you where ive set up our area.

yeah I know.. kinda didn't like how he was all up close to the car.. kinda gave it a claustrophobic feel to it

some one shouldve video'd us rolling on the highway to my house for the bbq. that wouldve been dope. i had to stop myself from staring in the rear view.
